Jeebus, surely you knuckledraggers can tell the difference between socialism and communism by now? Social Security is socialism. Medicare is socialism. The TVA is socialism. The annual farm bill is socialism. The annual highway bill is socialism. Too much socialism is bad. At some point it bleeds into communism. Too much of anything is bad. Too much capitalism eventually becomes anarchy. That's bad, too. Ask the Sudanese how anarchy is working out for them.

Sheesh. Or was ChatGPT what led you astray? We can blame it, instead.

Labels!  At best- those things you mention as socialism are debatable.  And are often debated.
By definition- they are not socialism.
But I will steer away from what appears to be a political ( and misleading) point you are trying to make.

If it allows Private sector involvement and/ or ownership-as SS and Medicare do, It is not socialism.

I don’t think so.  But- given the current environment and our track record on this forum ( we just can’t help ourselves 😂), I understand his point.

I thought we were past all of that. We know politics are off-limits here.
