Haven't been to a theater in forever and mostly binge watch TV shows on HBO, Netflix, AMC,etc.  Rewatch Husker sports recorded on Fubo or on YouTube.

I did catch the remake of Little House on the Prairie on Netflix and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.  A bit more realistic than the original IMO.

For now if I want to watch a newer movie I just wait for the DVD and rent it from the library.  Saves me the cost of theater and since I am an old lady, I can pause when I need a bathroom break or to fix more snacks, lol.  Plus I don't have to get dressed to go out and can lounge around in pj's -did I mention I am an old retired lady, lol?
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said,
but I am not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant.  Anonymous

But did you go into it hating it, like you're supposed to?
there are some highly questionable casting decisions....but it's a Nolan film. the guy is a genius at making movies. it will be good.

The ones that online culture warriors focused on were just fine. Helen of Troy is barely in the story and has to be a strikingly beautiful woman. Lupita Nyong'o fits the bill. Elliot Page (formerly Ellen) is actually quite good in his role.

The one I thought the weakest was Matt Damon. He was fine, I guess, but I didn't think captured the role of a cocksure trickster. I thought he could have injected a bit more personality into the role.

Everyone else was great. Robert Pattinson was a standout.

I don't know, I'm sure I'll like the movie but a woman to man trans as a greek warrior seems a little silly. I don't think Lupita is a strinkingly beautiful women either. She's not bad looking, but she's also not anything that stops you in your tracks. She's an above average good looking female I guess. Nothing special. Helen of Troy was suppose to be the baddest bitch of all-time, so bad in fact, that the entire Greek world went to war over her. Prime Monica Belluci or Prime Halle Berry or Prime Selma Hayek fit that description. Not this chick.

also: I do think it's funny all this hand-wringing over a few casting decisions and not a single one mentioning that not a single Greek actor is in a film based on an epic by an ancient Greek about a bunch of ancient Greeks- that may or may not be loosely based on actual ancient Greek history....did the Trojan war actually happen?

another also: speaking Matt Damon, this is like 6th movie where Matt Damon is just trying to make his way home. Poor guy just needs Google Maps. Am enjoying the memes about it...

Well you don't get anyone in their prime because she's in her late 30s or 40s in the story
