Agreed. We watched it, and then a couple years later re-watched it with my son... Give my daughter a few more years, and we'll probably go back for a third time.

@MikeDeTiger it stays good... And the most important thing... They knew when to end it before it got stale, too.

Went to the theater this weekend with my sons who are in town.

Saw Young George Washington.  We thought it was really good.

Meant to say we caught that last weekend.  I've forgotten the number now, but I'd read somewhere what the budget for that movie was.  I thought it looked really good for as cheap of a production as it was.  I half expected it to look like some low-budget B-movie, but it didn't, really.

Also forgot to say we finished Spider Noir last week.  I thought it was enjoyable.  Once again, I recommend watching it in the black and white version, because it just fits the genre so much better.

But did you go into it hating it, like you're supposed to?

No, though I almost hated it. My family was up in Michigan so I figured I'd hit the movies by myself. But I was sandwiched between two dudes, it was hot and uncomfortable, and of course their is like 40 minutes of commercials first and the movie takes a bit to get going. So I almost left. But I instead moved down to a closer row that was empty. Free from any possible human contact, I was much happier.

I like movies, I imagine I'll watch it when it hits streaming.  At that point I'll judge it for myself, as I always do.

I would say if there was ever a movie meant for a big bucket of popcorn at the theatre, it's the one. Think of a mashup of Saving Private Ryan, a horror anthology, and John Wick. Maybe with a sprinkle of Monty Python. I can still feel the drum beats in my chest.

I only see a handful of movies at the theater each year.  This is unlikely to be one of them. But my home big screen and surround sound are pretty pretty good.  Good enough for Gladiator to still shake the entire house. :)

Yeah I see like two. I want to see Resident Evil because of the director. Still haven't seen Oppenheimer, mostly because I didn't watch it in theaters so what's the point of watching it now.

Oppenheimer was good.  It's pretty cerebral, worth watching at home IMO.
