Zeke was great, when Dallas had the best offensive line in the league. Their offensive line is horrible now, and he is mediocre. That's not his fault, But I think calling him one of the best running backs in the league was a little premature. He's fine

It's very weird to me that William gholston is still on the Buccaneers. The NFL is a league of quarterbacks with constantly rotating rosters. That he is still in the league, considering his production, I get. But he has to be one of the longest, if not THE longest, tenured defensive players in the league with the same team

with a 4-1 turnover margin, the Cowboys were in the game until the end

good work

The only thing needed to get reviewed right there was the referee's jobs.I've always felt every play should be reviewable and a team should be able to flag one play or call per qtr - for that reason right there. The networks can break for commercials don't need to watch reviews. With all the technology available the only thing missing is common sense . And knobs like Goodell sit on their arrogant asses in their ivory towers at 50 million a year and do nothing. It's one of the many reasons I've hated the NFL for quite some time

Agreed.  I want the old o-line and therefore the old Zeke back.

I don’t watch the NFL much these days, so my take might be dated. AFAIK Cam never won the SB, he played in it once and got his arse handed to him. Then after the game he cried like a little bitch.

Orange AfroMan:  I’m not sure why you always go nuclear when someone disagrees with you. There is a lot of people like myself that never cared for Cam Newton for all kinds of reasons. There’s a lot of people that believe that many, many QBs are just like him:  they use their other physical skills, like running, to have big careers early on, and then once repeated physical contact and injuries take their toll their career is over because they always lacked the pure passing ability of more successful, longer lived QBs like Brady and Manning. RG3, VY, JFF, and lots of others fall into this category.

Just saying that Manning came from a football family is not near enough and IMO does him a major disservice. There are lots and lots of football families out there yet you never hear about Johnny Montana or Dave Marino ( fake names of course). Luck plays a part, certainly as well as genetics and a host of other factors but I think we all can agree that the #1 quality is hard work and determination.

Mike McCarthy is awful. That’s all.

Zeke Elliot looks like he’s in great physical shape. So what does Mike McCarthy do?

Give him like 6 carries through 3 quarters and put that Pollard guy in just as much if not more than Zeke.

It’s like McCarthy doesn’t realize you can also run the football sometimes. I can see why Rodgers couldn’t wait for him to leave.
Bucs defense only allowed two players over 60 yards in a game rushing in all of 2020.

You have to throw to beat them.

May be an image of 4 people, people playing sports and text that says 'NO FORMER ALABAMA QB HAS STARTED & WON AN NFL PLAYOFF GAME SINCE RICHARD TODD DID IT WITH THE JETS IN THE 1982 PLAYOFFS WHICH OF THESE THREE HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO END THE DROUGHT? MAC JONES JALEN HURTS TUA TAGOVAILOA'
burfict and adam jones cost aj mccarron this stat a couple years back. i'll take mac or tua though. hurts is just on a worse team and though i love him i'm not sold on him being a long term nfl qb. hope i'm wrong.

So when I disagree and provide actual support for my opinions, that's "going nuclear?"

The poster basically ended up agreeing with me that his analysis was lazy and that he never liked Newton.  But I went nuclear.  Mkay.

No, it's more like this...

"I know people..."
"There are studies..."
"People are saying..."

These are the phrases used by people failing at pretending to be valid.
They're not valid.
Ignore them.

I have skepticism to the claims made in that thread, but I managed to express them and press for additional information without being a douche.

You... Not so much.

to recap:

Matt Stafford is actually really good. Rams are going to go deep into the playoffs now that they have an actual QB. And now that Stafford is on an actual team people will see that he's actually pretty damn awesome.

Jared Goff still sucks. So does Carson Wentz. How did these guys ever get hype/fat contracts? They both suck at football. I'd throw Josh Allen into this group as well. Oh and as usual Lions suck.

Aaron Rodgers seems to have mailed it in. You know that old saying- when you talk about retiring- you're already retired? I don't think he's all there in Green Bay anymore. He wanted out- didn't get his way- seems like he just doesn't care anymore. Jameis surprisingly threw for 5 TD's and no INT's vs the Packers.

Bill Belichik now 7-10 post Brady. Basically the same type of coach and win % he was before Brady. Mac Jones had a high completion percentage but it was literally all dink and dunk. Not a believer in Mac Jones. I thought Tua played better. I think Tua has potential to be big-time if he cleans up his game a little bit.

Speaking of the Lions- hated the Okudah pick then, hate it even more now. Okudah had a blow-up on the sideline after he was clearly disrespecting his CB's coach and then the CB's coach went ape-shit on him. Okudah ruptured his achilles and is done for the year. I always thought he was a pretty good college CB, not an otherworldly one like a Charles Woodson, Deion Sanders, Patrick Peterson, or Champ Bailey. You don't take guys that are just pretty good college CB's at #3 overall. You can only take otherworldly ones that high in my opinion. And Okudah was never even close to that.
