I think Lamar has a skill similar to Alvin Kamara--you rarely get a square hit on him.

My mistake on the SB thing--I thought he had one.
Russell Wilson does this better than any QB I have ever seen. Knows when to slide, also feels pressure well and starts falling in the opposite direction when he knows he can't escape and he'll be hit. And he's played w/ some really really bad OLs in his career.

Jackson does have self-preservation awareness but will take the occasional unnecessary risk. He also has designed runs up the middle.

The guy who IMO will have the shortest shelf life. Josh Allen. He's big + tall. Its hard to tackle him high so players are diving at his knees when he hits open field. Not to mention he's their best RB and has that RG3 gonna wreck my body gene in him. The Bills rarely run play action. So you can just hone your front 6-7 right on on Allen and ignore the RBs. The Steelers have a good D, but they made him look terrible b/c its easy to just key on 1 player (even Pat Mahomes has a running and good play action game).

Yeah, a QB taking on LBs in the run game is NOT the TB12 method lol.

The Steelers really didn't have blitz to pressure Allen either.  The front 4 did more than enough on their own, allowing the LBs to drop into coverage or play containment.  3 sacks on the day.

The rumors of the Steelers demise were greatly exaggerated.  TJ Watt is an absolute animal.  Best defensive player in the league.

Yes, and Ben was the worst QB by PFF in Week 1 I believe I saw.  So the whole thing was "Ben is washed".  Well, yes, he is.  But they just beat probably the preseason #2 team in the AFC with him being the worst QB in the league.  That's not a recipe for winning big, but with as injured as Baltimore is, Cincy still maybe a year away, and the Browns the perpetual "I'll believe it when they actually win a division title", I wouldn't be shocked to see a 10-7 type Pittsburgh team win the division.

Steelers have a sick defense. They will keep them in every game. It's a Super Bowl caliber defense but it's held back by the offense. Ben is absolutely washed up and that OL is stank. I like that Najee Harris draft pick and the WR's are pretty good, but without a good OL and with a washed up QB- that superb defense is going to be wasted. They ain't going anywhere even if they make it to the playoffs.

Also think Bills might be overrated. Not buying that hype train. Never was. Josh Allen to me just isn't that good. Very overrated.

The nice thing about being on the West Coast is that a completely useless game between two teams that suck, such as last night's game between the NY Giants and the Washington Redskins Proper Mascot Name Football Team started at 5:20 and finished up just before 9 PM.

It was actually quite an exciting game, and a wild finish. Folks on the East Coast, unless they're either NYG or WTF WFT fans, probably went to bed instead of staying up until midnight to watch it.

NFC East Crap 2021:

Had the Giants picked to win their division this season based on their well-rounded roster. But thanks to last night’s loss to the Redskins I realize my mistake. Position by position the Giants don’t have glaring holes, but unlike the Cowboys whose explosive playmakers can carry their team, or the Redskins whose front seven can carry the team, or the Eagles whose solid trenches make up for uncertainty elsewhere, the Giants don’t have a unit (especially QB) capable of raising the rest of the team above adversity.

The Giants might finish dead last in the division which is a shame given Gettleman’s careful drafting and acquisitions these past two seasons.

Meanwhile, for as little as I expected of the Eagles going into the season, Philadelphia had one of the better Week 1 wins. The lines dominated the Falcons in the trenches. Jalen Hurts was superb at keeping the Falcon’s defense on its toes with the dual threat of both his feet and arm. And when things were looking good, the Eagles kept their foot on the gas, piling on 17 more points in the second half to bury Atlanta 32-6.

Im sceptical of that PFF grade.

Two QBs:
18/32 188 yards 1 TD 0 INT, won 23-16
15/28 133 yards 0 TD 2 INT, lost 38-3
PFF graded the 2nd QB higher.

Steelers: D is top 3, maybe the best the in the league.

Offense is bottom 8

which prob means 9-8 or 8-9 season. Sched is tough.

"Tyrod we never expected you to start the season at 3-0 (Jacksonville next week I think). Its interfering w/ our long term goals. We need to try the other guy."

which would fit perfectly into his career arc.

Tua goes out has to get carted off the field early 1st qtr and Bills go on the route, 35-0. Tua looking more and more like he's made of glass. Kinda sucks cause I think he can play.

Jameis back to being Jameis. Last week vs the Packers was a fluke. Jameis throws 2 picks while Carolina beats up the Saints 26-7. Sam Darnold looking solid and has the Panthers 2-0. Maybe it was the Jets and not him lol? Speaking of the Jets they got beat up by the Patriots 25-6 and the rookie Wilson threw 4 INT's vs Belichik's defense.
