But I'm not.
That's true.

There isn't really a problem at all.

It is, I didn't see anyone swimming there.  The rocks under the water can really cut your feet up in places, even at the public beaches like Hapuna.  Most of the coast line is just rock and surf.  This was at Polulu Point, if I spelled that correctly/  The road ends near there, we walked down a path to get to the ocean.

The public beaches have brownish sand and I suspect they cleared some of the rocks, maybe.

My younger brother disobeyed (everybody) when he decided to bring home some of that black sand.  He (five at the time) managed to conceal a couple tablespoons worth.    He ended up spilling it in his bed back at home, and we swear he was cursed with sand in his sheets forever more.

Took kids (and their friends) bowling today.   We like going on Monday holidays.    I've found paying out progressive cash prizes for split/washout conversions or getting a pin outside the rake to be the best way to go with bowling with kids.      I almost took a $50 bath today when my 10 year old almost made a 2-7-10.   When they play with the bumpers they can get the perfect angles.

68 and sunny right now, gonna hit 75 over the next couple days.  Second half of the week we'll have some overnight freezing though, and maybe even precipitation.

Winter in Texico, same as it ever was.

Got the kids. I'm off (as they are), but my wife has to work. So I couldn't get out to play golf with my son.

I sent him off for his first solo round at the little exec course.

Seems a bit surreal, despite the fact that when I was his age (14) I was riding my bike 5 miles each way, starting before 6 AM, during the summers to get to the job at the golf course where I worked. And before that it was my bike to get me to my caddie job the previous summer.

Different times.

Yep,  we'd leave the house in morning and would be expected back by X pm for dinner.   Maybe we had a bag lunch with our mitt, our bat, swim trunks, fishing pole, whatever you happened to be doing that day.

btw; is it me or why does it seem that every 'executive' golf course I've ever played is one of those where you feel like you need a helmet?   the routing is awful,  you're always on guard and there's constantly people from other holes playing from your fairway (or tee!) or you're doing the same to others.
