It's a kind of brownish gruel served over over cooked spaghetti noodles optionally topped with cheese, onions, and even deep fried jalapenoes, optionally contained beans.

The origins are Mediterranean apparently, and several places claim it.  You can order it from two way up to six way.
Heard a chef say that it is basically a Bolognese sauce.  I think most people say it was a couple of Greek restaurateurs invention. I think the issue most people have with it, it that it is called "chili"  when it is obvious not spiced like what most people call chili.

Personally I miss it at time and will generally stop and get some when I get back to cincinnati.

jack of trades

master of nothing

If it meets more of my needs than ANY AND ALL of the alternatives, is it really a master of none?  The 3/4 ton Suburbans were absolutely the master of meeting my needs.  The only problem, is that GM no longer makes them.

It's a balance.

Most people can't have half a dozen vehicles, each one a dedicated tool that perfectly performs the needs of that day.

And everyone, not just Maslow, has a hierarchy of needs.

Some people value performance and handling higher than others. Some people value cargo capacity and rear passenger legroom higher than others. Some people value towing higher than others [many who value it not at all]. Some people value safety highest. Some people value cool factor highest. Etc etc etc.

Each of those people need to balance their needs with the exception.

I.e. if someone is a single person living in a small apartment, they might prefer a small sporty car that doesn't have tons of cargo room. In that case the "exception" is that anytime you need to haul something you're begging favors from someone with a truck or going and renting a truck, or you're spending extra money for delivery of items that you could have transported yourself if you'd bought a bigger vehicle.

For me, the top need is to have a family hauler. Literally my entire selection process was based around that as priority #1, and accomplishing that while avoiding driving a minivan was priority #2 lol... But my "exception" was that I have a fun car already, the Jeep. It was paid off and so all it costs me is registration/insurance money, so I didn't really worry about Nurburgring times for my family hauler.

SUVs are popular for a lot of reasons, but that they do a lot of things for a lot of uses is a big one...

For sure.  It's always a matter of personal needs, and personal taste.

What I'd REALLY love, is the styling, frame, and axles of the 2005 Chevy Suburban Z71 4x4 3/4 ton, but with the current Ford 3.5L Twin Turbo Ecoboost and 10-speed transmission.  That would be a fantastic daily driver as well as a superior towing beast.

BTW I saw my first Mustang Mach-E this morning. Not the worst looking car, and a little bit stylish. Tail lights are a bit screwy though...

A friend was telling me about some marketing seminar he was in that described every product you buy as something you in essence hire to do something for you. Her example was an SUV. She was hiring it to do all the big vehicle things, but she was hiring it as a secondary reason to not make her feel like a soccer mom.

And I hire old Toyotas because I enjoy the feeling of something I don't have to finance and can try to squeeze a lot of life out of.

I guess I get the idea of leveraging the Mustang brand name which is among Ford's strongest, but it also potentially endangers that brand with dilution/erosion effects.

Bottom line it's not a Mustang.  Maybe they should have tried to resurrect another Ford marque that has more to do with utility?  They're already using Bronco, maybe Ranchero or something.  Badging it as any version of a Mustang just seems weird.

Oh, agree. It's not a Mustang. I feel strongly about that in a way that I still accept the new mid engine Corvette or would completely accept an EV Mustang.

But a 4 door CUV Mustang? Sacrilege.

We saw a Mustang EV in DC, the daughter liked it, said she would look into it, she wants an EV next, she's sort of on an eco thing.  She's driving my 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ now.  I agree it's not a Mustang and think that's a mistake.

They should call it the Clydesdale, lol.
