As a Professional Land Surveyor, it drives me nuts when people assume that newer technology is better than following in the footsteps and intentions of the original Land Surveyor. It's an art and a science, all in one.

Did you know that George Washington was a land surveyor prior to him going on to other things

I'm familiar with his land surveying history, but I hadn't heard of anything in his post-surveying career...

Yeah, I had heard that he had a couple of other gigs. But he was one hell of a surveyor. :)

Pretty sure it is the latter, since the question itself is fairly nonsensical.

A slave owner would obviously have a lot more time on their hands than someone who had to do all of those chores themselves.
