I did modest reading on "GoF research", and it strikes me as a very vague topic.

The only crime that I can think of would involve his appearance before a congressional committee and whether or not he lied

other then that Im not aware of any possible crime he has been accused of
The reason why his position was/is the perfect position for justifying unlawful policy... from impacting how elections are held to destroying small businesses.  Now was he a willing instrument? I'd guess yes.. but he didn't have to be and the manner in which his freakin thoughts were promoted to facts leads to believe he was just being used.... but at some point he was a willing instrument..... and all the while it's "science" not to be scrutinized else face ridicule or canceling.  Systematically.

Gain of function in the sense used in this discussion is illegal, and has been for some while... here, that is... which means (as suspected) it was just sent offshore.  It happens all over the place but maybe not here.

its pure intent is noble, by my reckoning.  However, there is a lot of opportunity for unsavory types to slip in a certain junctures and take it somewhere those with noble intent don't appreciate.  I may share a story about a French doctor who teaches at east Carolina University (last I heard) who had specific experience with this prior to becoming a professor of molecular biology with a focus on marine biology.  He literally fled his former laboratory with nothing to show for his research.  The subject is akin to those at MIT or equivalent developing an ICE capable of unheralded economy and an oil company gaining control of the program and it disappearing.

Imagine being willing to take on this much risk, for basically zero reward

I've done one before, but this one is 20' long. I'll write the $350 check and let those guys mount it and plug it in up in the attic. I did run the power myself.

We never stopped with the parties. Outside especially. Sure, we have an older crew here and some were extra careful, but it was mostly business as usual after the first 6 months or so. Especially when the vaccines rolled out.

We are almost complete on the renovation of this house. Pool tiles tomorrow, then new floor paint.

Last thing will be a roof, but it just got a clean bill of health 6 months ago. When insurance decides not to renew me, that's when the new roof happens. Lots of people on my block were forced to replace. I got a quote when we moved here - $30K - two years ago. People are paying $50-60K right now. I'll hold out.

I MIGHT consider self-insuring this place too. Everything is now hurricane proof - except the roof. Gonna go with metal if I'm allowed to.

Hmmm, looks like Twitter is accepting Elon Musk's offer.

Looking forward to all the free speechifying on there.

The best part is that she, a shitty actress, who is only hired for her looks, thought she could outact Johnny Depp, an actual actor, on the stand.
not only is JD an actual actor - he’s arguably the best one in the entire world lol.

I’m shocked that WB and Disney fired him from the Harry Potter and Pirates franchises. Any investigation by private investigators either company could easily hire to dig into the issue would’ve showed in two seconds flat Heard was batshit crazy and lying about everything. Just goes to show how “woke” things have gotten. The latest Potter spinoff in which they replaced Depp has tanked at the box office- WB is losing money on it. Go Woke Go Broke. I f***king love it.

This psycho c*nt was arrested for domestic violence when she was married to a woman. Yup. She was married to a woman and left the woman for JD. How do you just decide one day you’re not a lesbian anymore and into men? This is the sign of a mentally unstable crazy person. There’s also allegations she was physically abusive to her little sister. And Heard’s former personal assistant says she used to verbally abuse her and even spit on her once- and that’s when she quit working for that psychopath.

Hope he wins this case and hopefully he’ll get his career back and we’ll never have to hear from Amber Never Heard of her- the   talentless c*nt again. Literally had no idea who she even was til she got with JD.

The board literally had no choice. Shareholders threatened to sue them into oblivion if they didn’t take the bid. Twitter is a dogshit company that’s never made any money- and the only reason the stock moved at all was because Musk announced he bought nearly 10% of the shares. He’s offered like a 48% premium on the share prices in his take over bid from where it was when it became public he was investing heavy into it. Literally the only reason it moved at all was bc of him and then the take over bid. If you actually look into the company- it’s a complete dogshit company that doesn’t make any money and not sure it ever will. Musk is doing this because he’s a very disciplined and principled guy and as he’s proven time and time again in his past- when he really believes in something- he goes all in and puts everything on the line.

This is a great day for free speech and for trying to turn the tide up of the pussyfication and woke mind virus which has infected this country.
