Gritty win for the Horns.  Defense looks good, offense looks spotty, running game looks terrible, special teams look bad, and player sportsmanship was downright shitty.  I was thoroughly embarrassed by that complete idiocy.

If the Texas Longhorns could get out of the Texas Longhorns' way, the Texas Longhorns might be unbeatable.

No place for that vulgar crap in Longhorn tradition

I know Sark isn't going to lay into him publicly but I wasn't satisfied with his public comments about it.  I wanted public statements of embarrassment and apology and a promise that no shit like that will ever happen again.  I didn't hear that from him.

As DKR used to say when you score a TD

Texas really needs this bye week. Bumps and bruises piling up, yes, but more than that needs the time correct some blocking concepts. The teams on the schedule have now more or less had to show their defensive hand, so there should be tape on future opponents. No more being surprised by unique and unconventional defensive alignments.

Watching Gunnar Stockton throw over levels of defenders to find TEs and slot receivers for nonchalant 15 yard gains showed where Texas needs to be. They're not far off, but off at all is a fail.

I'm guessing watching 4th and 27, punting from the 12, turn into 1st and 10 and UTenn driving made Colin realize the impact of his colossal stupidity. That point is surely being reinforced after Monday practice.

I would hope he's been running stairs non-stop since 6 PM on Saturday immediately following the game.  They should have a stairmaster installed on the team plane so that complete dipshit doesn't miss any time running stairs.

I'm just completely flabbergasted at what he was thinking, how on earth did he think he was going to get away with that?

And yeah, the bye week is much needed, right before OU no less.  We need Smothers back at 100% and I'm also not sure Coleman was 100% after the injury.  Don't think he caught another pass after that.

It's OU Hate Week.....and there aren't any Sooners around anymore to hate.

What happened to this place?

Drove 'em all away I guess.  I didn't even bother to start a thread since it'd just be us Horns talking to ourselves.

Maybe I'll toss out some Sooner Haiku before the end of the week.

There's barely any Horns anymore either.

Longhorn320 and Tulip post the occasional drive-bys, but Erin and Burny left, and Hooky went to the burnt orange stadium in the sky.  Trying to think of anybody else we lost.

There used to be a handful of Sooners.  CWS--he still makes about a 1 or 2 post appearance every year--FredWilson, CrimsonGaloot....I think a few others I'm forgetting.  And WhiskyKilo, who I called WhiskyTangoFoxtrot, a mentally deficient homer of the highest order who left on a ban-bet he made with nobody but himself, who I'm half convinced was a Hooky pseud anyway.  To his credit, he never showed his face again, so he didn't welch.

I feel like there's more I'm forgetting, but I'm getting old and can't remember my early days.

I saw a picture of Burny on fb just this past week, at a game.  I think maybe he was at the Northwestern game at the new stadium.  So apparently he's still alive.

Sooner Red was another, but I'm not sure he ever made it here.

I think Dustin might have come by here once or twice way back in the day.

Burny stopped by a couple times about a year ago.  He tends to spend time at surlyhorns, which I had to completely abandon about 6-8 months ago because it got to the point where every single thread turned into a political shit-posting rant and the mods stopped bothering to ban the dipshits who kept on doing it, because their politics aligned with the dipshits and they were happy to let the shit-posting continue.
