Texas really needs this bye week. Bumps and bruises piling up, yes, but more than that needs the time correct some blocking concepts. The teams on the schedule have now more or less had to show their defensive hand, so there should be tape on future opponents. No more being surprised by unique and unconventional defensive alignments.
Watching Gunnar Stockton throw over levels of defenders to find TEs and slot receivers for nonchalant 15 yard gains showed where Texas needs to be. They're not far off, but off at all is a fail.
I'm guessing watching 4th and 27, punting from the 12, turn into 1st and 10 and UTenn driving made Colin realize the impact of his colossal stupidity. That point is surely being reinforced after Monday practice.
