JJ Watt released by the Texans. Speculation that he’s going to Pittsburgh to join his brothers.

I know he’s past his prime now and has been plagued with injuries- but they should’ve tried to move him a year or two ago and get draft compensation- now they’ll get nothing.

They let Clowney walk, Honeybadger walk, cut JJ Watt, and traded Hopkins for a ham sandwich. Those are 3 premier players and a pretty good one in Clowney and they got nothing back for any of them. Talk about the most poorly run organization in the NFL.

If they had half a brain they’d trade Watson for a kings ransom and rebuild.

Most overrated athlete ever? Bill Russell. He was not a dominant individual player who put up league leading stats like Wilt Chamberlain, he played in an era of mostly unathletic white players in the NBA, and there were wait for it...a grand total of 8 teams in the NBA. Most of his "11 championships" came when there were only 7 other teams to play against.

Not impressed.

He could only play who came out there.Back then they also played defense and and called traveling. You could easily shaved a 3rd of Jordan drives off the books. And they definitely didn't get invited to the post season to sooth they're aching hearts.Russel didn't have free agents signed to benefit his later runs either,Ron Harper,Dennis Rodman,Steve Kerr,John Paxson

We'll be happy to take JJ. He's prob good for 8-12 sacks w/ this D if he stays healthy. I hope he likes playing for the minimum tho, the steelers are 50M? over the cap.

JJ Watt signs with the Cardinals. He must really NOT want to win a Super Bowl. He'd have been better off taking a hometown discount to play for Green Bay or taking the vet min to play for Tampa Bay. He's got effectively zero shot of winning a Super Bowl over the next 2-3 years in Arizona, imo.

I'm guessing the agent talked JJ into taking the best $$$

Hasn’t he already signed two huge contracts with the Texans? Including one of them being for over $100mil? Plus he’s got to have money from off-field ventures.

If he was a guy that never got the big pay day- sure take the money. But he’s gotten a couple big pay days and you’d think for someone who was as great as him- he’d want a Super Bowl or two on the resume.

Brady is going to hang on for dear life to try to get 10 rings imo. He'll have a great shot at 8 in 2021 at age 44 and if he does get 8- he's just going to keep going, but in order to get to 10 he'd have to play until like 50. Oddly, I wouldn't put it past him.

If he were to actually get 10 Super Bowl rings, he'd become the most mythical sports figure in US history.
