Looking forward to: The return of ball meaning less in the way of current events here.

A cryptic email came out of the UW AD's office today. Things do not look good.

Well, it's obviously getting into late July.  Normally "we" here would be gearing up for stuff, now we seem aimless.  I get a sense the SEC is going to give it a go, or maybe they are just looking brave before dropping the hammer.

I hope the SEC moves forward with a season. Cause I don't think the B1G or Pac will.

I am looking forward to:

My husband finally out of his sling (rotator cuff surgery last month) and having the time to go on a long delayed road trip before he returns to work.

My brother being able to leave Kansas and get up to NE so we can finally inter my mom's ashes (she passed in Feb).  See above.

Being able to go to the store and not have to order everything online - it's convenient but I miss window shopping at the store.

November 5.  If it goes the way I want, it would be a nice early birthday present (Nov 9).

Less hysteria on social media and being able to have a conversation that does not revolve around COVID-19 and / or Trump.  I don't like election years at the best of times, and this year has sucked beyond belief.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said,
but I am not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant.  Anonymous

Cincy, that doesn't seem like a thing to look forward to.

Maybe I should take you up on a wager lol.
$100 says the world is at or above 1M covid deaths, as measured by worldometers.info, by the end of Nov 4, GMT.

I'm willing to submit to verification by the moderators here that the loser pay up to the winner, such that our reputations here will suffer if either welches on the bet.

I look forward to when I can travel to Arizona to see my mom and dad, 86 and 87 years old. Dad stopped working in March as a Safeway sacker because of Covid-19. He used to say he would die if he stopped working. Now he is afraid he will die if he does work. He has been working high school kid type jobs almost 20-years so he would keep busy, and keep living.

It's been difficult on him, and we speak at least 2x per week, but it is not the same as an in-person visit.

A proper CFN bet is putting "Nico Collins is far superior to Rondale Moore" in your tag line and vice versa

The surgeon said the surgery was almost always successful, done outpatient, arthroscopically, and the alternative is a lot of pain, and I can't throw a baseball, which is the real reason here.  He said if I do the PT religiously, and I will, I should be fine.

My shoulder apparently is a big mess as well as the rotator cuff, which I kinda knew already.
