Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink?
Only on special occasions...

Weekends, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, days that end in "y"...

You know, special.

Drop a shot of that in a chocolate porter.  It's delicious.

Yuengling makes a Hershey's Chocolate Porter that pairs well with it, although it's hard to find.

I have mixed it with Kahlua and Heavy Cream.  Sort of a White Russian.  Quite good.

I’m pretty much a typical trailer park beer drinker.  Never got into the harder stuff.  In the summer I like to occasionally drink Malibu and pineapple.  Good summer drink lounging by a pool or beach.

Out of curiosity, how often do you guys drink?  I basically only drink on the weekend.  I don’t drink every weekend, but when I do, it’s typically a Friday night or Saturday.  It isn’t unusual for me to have a few beers on a Saturday watching a WVU game or something and then not drink again for 3 or 4 weeks.
I will have a beer or two about every other day when I get home from work, sometimes every night. During a football games that number will go up from there.

Best wishes. I hope things continue to improve for you.
Thanks, but that is about as good as it will ever get. But no worries. The doctors say that I can live a long and healthy life like that, I just have to watch what I consume, hence the cutting back on alcoholic beverages. I can still have some here and there, but just have to watch it and not go overboard. That and I need to stay out of threads like this because it is making me thirsty. :)

I know this is a thread about spirits and not necessarily beer, but has anyone ever heard of Victory Brewing? They are a craft brewery out of Downingtown PA. A few years back when I was traveling for work on a weekly basis, I was having to spend a lot of time in that area and would frequent this place often. They have a number of specialty brews and some seasonal ones also.

When my son was stationed in Panama City, Fla, he was turned on Victory Brewing beers and was telling me how good they were. I didn't realize that they were actually selling them in Florida.

Anyway, a couple of years ago, I was in south east PA for work and he met me there for an evening as he is now stationed at Andrews in Maryland and was only a couple of hours away from me. I took him to Victory Brew Pub for dinner and he got a kick out of that, sending pictures of him at the brewery to friends he still has in Fla.

There are so many craft breweries not I can't keep up.  The wife likes Sweetwater 420, and it's decent stuff.  Their pub is a couple miles north of me and is really nice, good food, probably 35 beers on tap.  It is 66°F and sunny, they are probably packed.

Yeah, Victory has been around quite a while. They're in sort of the old guard of craft beer and were around before the current boom.

Looking at their history, they were founded in the big "microbrew" boom of the 1990s, and survived the crash thereafter. I found them when I was getting into craft in the mid-2000s when I lived in GA.

Really solid beers out of there, so it's no surprise they've survived and thrived.

this is the one spot I'm a bit successful at cutting back....

I'm trying not to drink every night after work and during my evening meal.  I can do it unless my meal consists of something that just pairs too well with beer.

Concur.  Victory has impressive distribution.  Pretty easy to find in Indiana.

Yeah, back to the hard stuff.   Still waiting for one more tax statement,  but unwinding with a drink as I tidy up my materials for the preparer.  Despite taking a few heavy duty tax law classes some time ago, pretty convinced I would commit malpractice if I did my own these days.
