I bought a $52 keyboard for my iPad.  It works ... OK.  It's not dramatically better.  But it was cheap.

oops sorry didn't see this the other day.

I'd go with the AMD system.  The CPUs are spec'd about the same, and you get more storage on the AMD.  The Intel system does use DDR5 memory which is newer and "better" but I doubt you will be running any applications where it will matter.

Save yourself some money, especially if you're getting two!

My most recent book which I just edited to final (?) is "in the cloud".  I was trying to email it to kids, and it didn't work.  I converted to pdf maybe and hopefully that works?

I wanted to save it to my HD and didn't see how.

This cloud thing is pretty new to me.  I thought clouds were water vapor and tiny droplets of water.

Lot easier to do stuff like that on a PC versus a tablet.  badgerfan seems to be in a buying mood, maybe he'll pick an extra one up for you whilst the taxes are exempt. ;)

Yeah, I work on my PC (Dell).  The keyboad is much better of course.  I use Word 365 which went to this subscription model which I loathe.

My book is mostly about my experiences at work, and some in grad school.  Basically, Dilbert, without the cartoons.

The inductive cooktops are somewhat/pretty similar.  The current induces resistance in something ferrometallic in your pan.  You can boil water in a pot with an ice cube sitting next to it.  Our unit groans when you put it on HIGH.  And it boils water faster than gas.  We love'em.  

The buyer's house inspector said our range didn't work because he turned it on and it blinked and then turned off.  He was an idiot.  I'd guess they replaced that cooktop.

I mentioned before the concept of putting coils in pavement on streets with EVs able to recharge as they drive.  Some concepts have been built, but EVs currently can't use them.  And the losses can be significant.

I've said before that IMHO I don't think it'll ever be efficient enough to be economically feasible.

However if electric robotaxis ever actually become a thing, I could see wireless charging potentially making sense. One of the things with these robotaxis is "where will they charge?", and one limiting factor of that is that wherever they charge, you need someone there to plug them in. And if you have to pay a human attendant, you need enough charging spots in each location to justify their salary. 

If you could make wireless charging stations placed throughout a city, the cars could automatically drive there, park above the inductive charger, get topped off, and drive away with no human intervention. Not requiring an attendant would make it easier to have a larger number of fewer-pad charging stations and they could be placed more easily throughout a city if you only need a couple of spots per location.

One notion is to have this in parking places and the EV would lower a sheet of metal to make contact.
