Speaking of history, I liked this one on John Marshall a lot.

Just finished a bio of teddy Roosevelt.  Now trying to decide between a book on the habsburg dynasty or a bio of Frederick Douglas.  Read a book about the 1919 peace conference and realized didn't know much about the habsburg other then their chin and inbreeding and I had been reading a lot from the antebellum period and thought might be interesting to know a bit more about Frederick Douglas
I think history has made my choice.  It was in 1895 on this date that Frederick Douglass died

I'd probably skip the bio of Frederick Douglas and go straight to reading Frederick Douglas.  But that's just me.  Three autobiographies and plenty of commentary....while not being a trained historian, he is effectively a very good historian of his time.
