  • The core personal consumption expenditures price index rose 0.2% in October, slightly below the estimate. The index increased 5% year over year.
  • Personal income jumped 0.7% for the month, well ahead of the 0.4% estimate, and spending rose 0.8%, as expected.
  • Weekly jobless claims totaled 225,000, a decline of 16,000 from the previous week and below the 235,000 estimate.
  • Outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas reported that planned layoffs increased 127% on a monthly basis in November and were up 417% from a year ago.

I just threw up in my mouth a little, looking at the Kitna thing, and it wasn't even about what he did (which is obviously horrible/disgusting/etc).  His lawyer, in seeking a lesser bond amount, suggested the content to merely be labeled 'child erotica' instead of porn. 
WTF
Oh, okay, it's just a little bit of child erotica!  Fantastic!  What were we all upset about?!? 
Lawyers are despicable.

You’d assume a lawyer would argue a thing like that not to ramp down how upset you are, right.

Do you not find the attempted semantic ?softening? tactic despicable?  As if 'child erotica' is any better than 'child porn'.......it's fucked in the head. 
Sounds like they have all the evidence they need and sounds like Kitna was forthcoming, etc....the lawyer is tasked with 1-avoiding trial, 2-getting a not-guilty verdict, and 3- getting the lightest sentence possible.

Sorry if I can't help but notice when the lawyer chooses a bizarre, disgusting, ineffective route.

Oh, judge me for this next one, too:  I hate that Kitna has money (son of NFL QB) and absolutely will be punished less than one of his poorer teammates if they were in the exact same situation.

I'm not particularly a fan of lawyers, but to claim they are ALL despicable strikes me as over generalizing, especially given the nature of their jobs as criminal defendants.
