I really wish you guys could take your partisan glasses off for 5 minutes.
.
This guy could be one of the 100 people representing one of the 50 states of our country.  I don't care who hand-picked him to run.  I don't care which party he's in.
He is not fit to serve in office.  Period.
.
And when I mention it, all I get is an eyeroll.
The rural people of Georgia are voting for him for 3 reasons:
1 - he was the best RB ever at UGA
2 - he professes god as being important
3 - he's a republican
.
#1 is obviously not a good reason to vote for anybody.  #3 is what it is and can't be helped (as evidenced by you guys).  But #2 is an obvious lie.  I've lived a far more pious life that he has, despite being an ardent atheist.  I don't need a god to live morally, yet he needs one and still fails.
.
This is all a sick joke.  You want to know how empires fall?  Goofy bastards like this get elected into office.
Here's my party. Not talking stupid politics on the football board.

Sometimes we have interesting nuanced conversations about policies or outlooks or whatever. Often we don't. Absolutely zero percent of that gets done when we babble on about who to vote for or how annoyed we are with a particular pol.

I'm partisan toward incinerating this post because it's exceptionally useless unless you want to read your own posts and get in pointless political fights with other posters. Complaining about a candidate in a state you don't live in and that basically none of us live in on the public board does nothing but the two things in the previous sentence. So yes, that gets an eye roll, as it should.

I wouldn’t vote for Hershel Walker, but I don’t get a vote there.

I declined to vote for anybody for president last election. I liked neither guy or the Alts. I voted for Gary Johnson in ‘16.

I still find it rather humorous that OAM is so hot ant bothered by the prospect of HW becoming a senator when we have an absolute idiot in the White House

I guess when the idiot is a dem its ok but when the idiot is a rep you put your righteous foot down

That's politics.

Sure the idiot on your team is an idiot. But he's not an idiot on the other team, so he's the best you got.

I'm not a dem.  No matter how many times you pretend I am.

Biden is just old.  Comparing him to Walker is ignorant.
.
I'd bet you a dollar HW couldn't explain the 3 main parts of our gov't at a 2nd-grade level.  Forget about checks & balances or anything further.
He gets votes bc of football.  He was on the ticket bc of football (connection with Trump in the USFL).  He's from my dad's home town and all of my extended family probably voted for him.  It's all an embarrassment.

That's the part that I enjoy and support.

Talking about the actual people... not so much. None of them really give a damn about us, except for one day, every 2-4-6 years.

Yet you excuse HIS (and #46) voters. One is old. The other had a stroke. Unfit. Oh, well they have an excuse

Just stop.

I don't have a rope long enough to get you out of that hole you're digging yourself into.

when something quacks like a duck and looks like a duck its a duck
Here's an example of the overall problem:  you're going with your opinion over the facts.  My voter registration doesn't have a D or an R on it.  Fact.

But you choose to ignore that.

Both parties have vocal, radical minorities that make them look bad.  If I quack like a Dem, it's probably because I don't align with the party that was completely taken over by its radical minority.
You can scoff at that all you want, but it's true.  The Republican party is now the "Sons of Trumpistan."  It has ignored its more knowledgeable, prudent members and gone with the psychopath, in lock-step.  The pied piper of telling it like it is, ignorance, mouth-breathing, election-denying, Yosemite Sam wing of the party.
The Dems COULD have done that, but didn't.  It's radical minority exists, but has no actual power.  It's been set in the corner to mouth off on Twitter, wielding no influence.  The final 4 candidates for the last presidential election were 2 moderates (Biden, Buttigeg) and 2 left-wing (Warren, Bernie).  Biden won.  The guy who was the VP under a slightly left-leaning Obama won.
.
If Bernie won and all of our paychecks were the same, you'd have an argument.  I'd be your duck.  If Warren won and half of her cabinet was women and we were bankrupting ourselves for the environment, you'd have an argument.  But that's not the reality.
.
The two parties aren't broken to the same extent.  The Dems need a new battery.  They haven't taken all your guns.  The woke left may be creating policy in 5 cities, but not 5 states and not all 50.  The Republicans have been smashed, backed over with a garbage truck, and are wheeling out Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker, and that's the bottom line, cuz Stone Cold Trump says so!
Hard pass.
Quack quack, ass hat.

Oil Plunges to Lowest Since 2021

Oil tumbled to the lowest level since December as a wave of unrest in China punished risk assets and clouded the outlook for energy demand, adding to stresses in an already-fragile global crude market. Paul Wallace reports on Bloomberg Television.
"Courage; Generosity; Fairness; Honor; In these are the true awards of manly sport."
