Trump's social media platform is like a month away from failure.
I dont think he plans for it to replace twitter but as a support tool

I firmly believe he will post again on twitter

well he claims he’s not going back to Twitter, even if he gets unbanned.

he’s only posted once on his truth social platform and so far it’s been nothing but a dud with weak user engagement.

6 months ago Netflix share price was around $700. It’s $200 now. The company has lost like 70% of its market cap in just 6 months. Holy. Shit.

It’s probably a lot of factors. They keep raising their prices. They’ve now announced they are going to crack down on shared passwords. But most importantly- they make mostly junk and crap that no one wants to watch and have gone WAY too far in their “woke” programming. It just turns normal people off. Catering to an incredibly small minority- never works. Ever. Period. It’s backfiring on them. They just came out with some garbage called “he’s expecting” a tv series about a female to male tranny getting pregnant.

You hate to see it. Just kidding you don’t. Go woke, go broke.

. A Grand Rapids, MI police officer, mercilessly and unjustifiably shot a confused and terrified black man in the back of the head while laying on top of him and pushing the defenseless man’s face into the ground. A motivating factor in the officer’s decision to shoot was the man’s race.
2. A Grand Rapids, MI police officer shot a man in the head who had run from a traffic stop, physically resisted arrest and assaulted the officer. The man refused to obey repeated orders and after grabbing the officer’s TASER and attempting to control it, refused to release the TASER after three clear warnings and was finally shot by the officer as a last resort and in complete self-defense.
After reading countless stories and listening to the many opinionated accounts, those are essentially the clashing descriptions concerning a Grand Rapids police officer’s use of deadly force on a man after a traffic stop last week in Michigan. The competing narratives are based on the same set of optic facts which is, four different video sources of the event. The four sources are, dashcam, body cam, cell phone and video surveillance from a residential home.

I figure it'll do much better when it's available for Droid.

It's amazing how the use of personal devices by brand are split between political divides. ...

there are definitely abuses by police. heck, I've been a victim of police brutality.

but in a lot of these cases- you see morons disobeying police officers or trying to fight/argue with them. why they do that- is beyond me. you're never going to win that battle and most likely just going to make things worse for you.

be polite, courteous, respectful, and compliant with police and you'll be OK 99.99% of the time.

Lol. Twitter is an absolute horseshit dogshit loser of a company. He'll never make money on it.

Twitter is a f**king peon compared to any of those companies.

Musk’s takeover of twitter isn’t about money; to him it’s worth losing much of those billions in order to gain private control to unclog and rebalance what is a very one-sided dialogue across twitter, which is the center point of the internet’s official-speak.

Even though only 3% of the U.S. population engages on twitter, that isn’t the point. Twitter’s leverage is that the crux of global journalism and global leadership uses the platform as the launch pad of their public messaging. All before this initial dialogue shapes and molds the front pages and cable news for the rest of the non-twitter population. And because of this, sudden wildfires of public outrage ends up ensnaring positions of power meant to otherwise remain detached from constant crisis.

As one-sided as twitter has become, this means that especially for journalists, the most agenda-driven narratives could not only be unified but also, if logically contested, be used as a point of contrast by which any disagreement could be accused as “hate-speech,” “bigotry,” etc. And because much of corporate America is on twitter, the mere non-responsiveness of their corporate accounts (Disney, Target, Boy Scouts) when such chaotic dialogues emerged could bring them under similar accusations of ““hate-speech,” “bigotry,” etc, which in turn could mount into a costly PR crisis.

Twitter has become a place where its ongoing narratives are leveraged to hold public officials and Fortune 500 CEOs under authoritarian accountability of increasingly more reactive narratives.

Good post CD.  It’s amazing how two completely different versions can be printed based on the exact same set of video clips. By the way I have watch those video clips and I honestly don’t know what the right answer is because it’s really hard to determine what happens in those final few seconds.

Yeah, and even still Twitter is still not even anywhere near as powerful as Facebook or Google in terms of shaping/controlling opinion/thought and manufacturing consent. Most people get their news from Facebook today. Sad to say. It is now the #1 source Americans turn to for their news. Nearly 40% of adults in a Pew research survey say they turn to Facebook for news. YouTube (Google) was in second with nearly 25% saying they turn there. Twitter was barely 13% in same survey. And forget that alone- Facebook/Google just have WAY more actual human users around the globe. And they generate WAY more $$$$$ from advertising in like a week than Twitter could ever generate in f***king years.

It is not even close. Twitter is nowhere near as powerful, pervasive, or influential as Google or Facebook. It's a complete f**king joke to even compare Twitter to those companies. Google/YouTube is used every single day by billions and billions of users. Ditto Facebook. Twitter probably doesn't even have a 10th of user base and complete sh*t engagement compared to Google and Facebook.

Elites in the media and democratic operatives in particular are sh**tting their pants and up in arms because of the democratization of information and freedom of thought and speech that Musk will now allow on the platform- the tiniest, most insignificant, least used of the social media platforms if we're being honest here. It will be harder for the establishment to control and bend information how they want to with Twitter basically becoming open source and free and open for everything within the bounds of the law. Which was the promise of the internet- the democratization of information and thought and speech.

Power centers and elite are freaking the f**k out at the idea that they will not be able to control and censor a tiny part of the internet and it has them sh**tting their pants. Loving every minute of it.

Mainstream legacy corporate media is dead if not dying. Fast. Newspaper business is virtually dead save for a handful of them- basically just the papers of record- the WaPost and NY Times. Cable news is in the crapper. As you can see CNN+ failing miserably in almost a month. Cable news has almost no viewership anymore. There are independent YouTube political shows and podcasts that absolutely crush and destroy cable news in the ratings now. People have lost all trust and faith in legacy corporate media- and instead of these morons trying to figure out why that is- they are grasping at straws and demanding the internet be censored so they can regain control of their stewardship of information. Maybe if they didn't absolutely suck ass at their jobs and didn't litter their newsroom with criminals and spooks and basically become infiltrated by CIA/FBI/NSA and just mouthpieces for the intelligence community and state department people might actually take them seriously a little bit.

Never done the FB or Twitter but I do use Google a lot unfortunately. It’s just too hard not too.

The power that Google and FB have is literally insane and people want to sit here and talk about Twitter. Lol.

Google is the most powerful company in the world. They basically control the entire f**king internet and advertising.
