If you like the end-of-the-world genre, I highly recommend the movie Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

I don't know if I'm particularly keen on the genre,  but I do love Dr. Strangelove.  That movie was a masterpiece.
It’s amazing how much that movie holds up. I’m excited to not watch “don’t look Up.” It sounded like if you took some of the spirit of Vice but made it about 100 times more on the nose and a ham fisted.

If you’re gonna do an allegory, you better WOW me. And I don’t think I have found a trustworthy critic who said that was going to happen.

Kevin Faulk left as the SEC's 2nd all-time leading rusher, behind only Herschel.

Mark Messner had ALL the sacks.

Something I've noticed about "Don't Look Up" is that many of the people lauding it are the same ones it makes fun of.

The movie had an all star cast for sure, I just didn't pick up on the climate angle at all before reading about it later.  The way the "President" reacted was very similar to how some bosses would react at work back in the day.

That’s true, but the movie pokes fun at pretty much everyone.   That’s why I enjoyed it.

I still laugh when I think about the social media part; the world is coming to an end and people are more concerned about the Hollywood and twitter sex gossip.

It was depressingly accurate about how humans react to "news" and their interests.

That movie sounds horrible.

Climate change and Corona bros? Good Lord!

You'd have to force me to watch it, Clockwork Orange style.

this is exactly what we got yesterday afternoon and evening

roads were a bit slippery, most folks used caution
no one was alarmed
