I sometimes wonder whatever happened to those gals I had the hots for back in the day.

I imagine they are all old and wrinkled and most of them fat now, like me.
I saw a then-current picture of my serious college GF a few years ago.

Dodged a bullet.

Ironically, she’s still pretty, but the bullet was dodged for the other reasons.

Well, she isn't.

But I suspect that the reason I broke up with her (the other reasons) didn't get better with age either.

I'm sure you've heard the old saw, "Men find a woman and hope that she won't change; women find a man and hope that he will."

If she didn't change, she wasn't for me. If she did... Well I wasn't going to wait around for that.

I have found that the prettier they are the crazier they are. It's best to marry an uggo, then just have fun with the crazies on the side.

They're running around with clown faces after surgery to appear younger

Roberto Clemente was a Marine, as was Vince Dooley.
George Carlin racked up an impressive three court-martials, several other disciplinary actions, and a general discharge three years into his enlistment

Richard Pryor was imprisoned and discharged after two years of service for a physical altercation involving a white soldier who was overly amused by a racially charged scene in a film, according to a 1999 profile in The New Yorker.

Jimi Hendix - “Pvt. Hendrix plays a musical instrument during his off-duty hours, or so he says. This is one of his faults because his mind apparently cannot function while performing duties and thinking about his guitar.”

His commanding officer, Capt. Gilbert Batchman, wrote in his May 1962 request for discharge that Hendrix's issues included “behavior problems, requires excessive supervision while on duty, little regard for regulations, apprehended masturbating in platoon area while supposed to be on detail.”
Hendrix would receive an honorable discharge soon after that and the Army’s problem child would soon carve out a nice career as a voodoo child.

Note that they were all Air Force or Amy except Steve McQueen, who was a Marine, and spoke highly of his experience as one.  I had not known he was a Marine.

He made some superb movies (duh).
