Didn't know what a Supper Club was and had to look it up.  Sounds awful. 

"Awful" is the furthest word away from how I would describe a Wisconsin supper club.

I mean, this one alone is enough to convince anyone.

In contrast, I started a club with @betarhoalphadelta  for introverts who increasingly want to be around people less and less.  I didn't feel like talking to him to make him aware, so he doesn't know about it.  We haven't had any meetings.  It's going great. 

And despite being an introvert, I'm flying up to the Bay Area for a big meeting with a customer, then have a speaking engagement on a panel this evening, and tomorrow will be filmed for a panel discussion that will be on YouTube in August... 

I think I'll be pretty drained by the time I get back home tomorrow...

The Brandy thing is going away. Most are opting for bourbon now.

When I looked it up it mentioned nice dinners with a bunch of people where you're expected to stay and hobnob for hours, not just eat and leave.  

Having never heard of it or ever even having been invited to such a place, I was already out.

The Wisconsin Old Fashioned is … not for everyone. And I’m guessing most would disqualify it as an old-fashioned, Even if I have a soft spot for them.

I don't see the need to put any of that crap in my bourbon.

I say drink what you like. If that's sarsaparilla, great. Espresso? Fine. IPA? Just as long as you don't expect me to join you. 

I like old fashioneds. I make mine with bourbon, but I've had brandy ones and they aren't terrible. And I like my bourbon on the rocks, too. And my single malts, generally neat.
