I'd say no, with 100 percent certainty.

Starting to get back to normal temps here. Makes me happy.

Third straight 90+ degree day...

This month's electric bill ain't gon' be pretty.

Weird.  We're only going to the low 80's today....I figured we'd be ahead of your area in high temps most of the time.  We'll get there soon enough, and then it won't leave.

Got one more year + 1 month before the capacitor on the outside unit goes out and leaves us with hot air blowing in temps that need an AC system in pristine condition.  That part fries every three years like clockwork.  Fortunately I track stuff like that and noticed the pattern, so I'll be ready for it this time, like I was last time.

Forecasts are starting to trickle in for 2026.

How accurate are their predictions generally?

I remember after the 2005 season with all of the devastation from Katrina, the NOAA and the NHC went and completely redid their models and predictions, and started panic-forecasting massively increased numbers for all future years.  And of course, it didn't pan out that way.

But it's been a decade or so since I really paid any attention to it.

Wait, did I see that Nebraska or Iowa are facing wildfires, and now Florida is in a drought?

Man, those California transplants really do bring everything with them, huh?
