Can they do that?

I admit to not following all that much, but the Naples FC team here has me looking at soccer a little differently than I used to. It's kinda fun.

(When I wrote that it was un-American, I was being a sarcastic pain in the ass.)

Neither is hockey, but we kick ass and take names in that sport.

They can win, but they might be down one of their top players in Christian Pulisic.

Do we?

Better than soccer for sure, but the top level is also smaller.  Just won our first gold medal in 46 years, in a tournament Russia didn't participate in

Wemby in goal, Tyreek Hill scoring, Cooper DeJean defending, SGA scoring on headers, Bobby Witt Jr in midfield, etc.
Except we don't raise kids to put on an acting show in the middle of the action.  Tons of kids play soccer, but the physicality of football is more fun.  Dunking is fun.  Hitting bombs is fun.
Running around for 90 minutes to score twice is lame.  Just because the rest of the world loves it doesn't mean it's good.  They simply don't have football.  They don't have baseball.  Introduced baseball to Japan....obsessed.  To the Caribbean...obsessed.

Everyone plays soccer because no matter how poor you are, you can find something to kick around.  You need zero equipment.
