Canada gives us frigid air masses and wildfire smoke.

Not sure what else.

Can't think of anything.

Well they used to give us pro hockey, but now I think most of those teams are in the USA.

Sahara Dessert dust is causing its annual summer trouble here.  Doesn't bother me too bad but the wife's allergies really kick up.

HTF does dust from the Sahara Dessert get here?!!

Poutine: Originating in Quebec in the 1950s, this globally famous dish layers crispy french fries, rich gravy, and squeaky cheese curds.

Hey it finally stopped raining here, we ultimately got about 1.4" of the 6-10" that were promised.  Did it ever stop raining at your place?

The Hill Country got absolutely brutalized.  Much of the same areas that flooded July 4, 2025.  Luckily no summer camp tragedies this time, whatever camps are still operating knew well ahead of time and evacuated appropriately.

But Lake Travis will almost certainly be full by this time tomorrow.  It's only 3' short right now, it's risen 6' in the last 48 hours or so.

Upper-level winds bring it.

It saves our asses from tropical development, so I don't mind the allergy thing so much.

Yep.  Been clear here yesterday and today.  Probably still won't be able to mow today, though.  Too much Severe Drought still making the ground soggy.

Very little chance for development with these two.

I figured Africa would start to act up eventually, lobbing shit at us again.

Between them and the Canadians, I don't know which is worse.
