Storms in Cincinnati usually came up the river, so from the SW.  Storms here come from every direction, maybe from the NE is more common.  The big ones come up from the Gulf of Whatever.

Hawaii of course has trade winds which are constant from the NE, and strong.  The latent storms off Africa are the result of planetary spinning motions of course so they are going to head WNW.

Scientists expect Kilauea volcano to again gush lava in the coming days for the 31st time since December as the mountain lives up to its identity of one of the world’s most active volcanoes.

A few lucky residents and visitors will have a front row view at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. If the past is a guide, hundreds of thousands more will be watching popular livestreams made possible by three camera angles set up by the U.S. Geological Survey.

We're headed out Dec. 7-21 to Hawaii, hope it's erupting then.  It's about a 4 hour drive from where we stay.

The disturbance after Erin appears to be turning north as well which is very good

Here in San Antonio I'm sitting here working from the in-law's house (FIL is out of surgery and fine, due to be released in 30 min or so, so that's good news)... No rain yet but definitely hearing the thunder.

Which is annoying because that means I won't be able to go drink beer in the pool after all my meetings are over today...

...guess I'll have to drink beer inside in the A/C.

As well as she can, to be honest.
