I'm not one of the bunch
wet bulb sounds like some fancy name for something that has been around forever

Yeah, I doubt many learn anything about wet bulb specifically.  They will just think it's hot and humid.  Done.

Meanwhile in Austin, it's never going to rain again.

Headed to take the dog for a walk in a minute or two, actually...

It's 73 and sunny here.

This "heat dome" thing is more "newish" terminology as weather people make up "atmospheric river" and other "fancy" words to describe simple things.

It's hot, it's summer, we're in the south.

The Mohave desert has hot season and mild season, or swimming season and hiking season. It roughly coincides with DST, though April is more of a hiking month than a swimming month, due to the water still being rather frigid.

Teeing off at 8:40 today:

don't get to pick my tee time at Landmand
all tee times for the year sell out in less than an hour on Dec. 31st
I'm just lucky to get one once or twice a year
So, later this afternoon it is... I'd really rather not play there this afternoon, but had to commit a few weeks ago.
