I doubt it. Permits are getting more and more difficult to come by and that's not going to change.

Most of Florida (coastal) could not be built today as at exists. You'd be laughed out of the USACE offices if you were dumb enough to try.

You're right, 24 million people are moving to Ocala.

I heard these huge data centers just use the same amount of water as a golf course.  It was on the internet, so I know it's true.
And Florida has elventy thousand golf courses.  

I think it's funny to ignore the past 100 years of the Everglades being filled in as Miami expanded and pretend like that won't keep happening as 24 million more people move into the state.  The Everglades used to go from the gulf to Biscayne Bay.  Bring in dirt.  Fill.  Build.  Repeat.  Duh.

Some of the Everglades area of course is national park.  And I highly suspect badge knows a bit about zoning.

It might not ne as simple as buy swamp, fill, and build.  It might be expensive if done, and we don’t do a lot of things that were done decades ago.

It might well be that the area near Ocala is a lot easier to develop.  Maybe fewer horses.

Fill one acre? Lose two to mitigation.

I’ll defer to someone who lives in the area and has Worked in the field a few … decades.

But 24 million is a lot to add.

These are of course guesses based on current trends.  I read Atlanta will hit 8.3 million by 2040 I think it is.  There are no plans to expand the hard rail system.  They are rebuilding interchanges and adding express lanes to GA 400 at an insane cost.  The other freeways are maxed out on lanes.  Traffic density could go up a lot with autonomous.

I don't know what this means.  Can you explain more?  

It sounds like you're saying if somebody buys 3 acres to develop, they can actually do something with 1 and have to leave the other 2.  Is it like how in CenTex in the Edwards Aquifer recharge zones, people are only allowed to build on 25% of any purchased property?
