I suspect Cubans are akin to Coors beer back in the day.
I actually had a couple back in 2011-12. The next door neighbor was an Air Marshall and they occasionally flew in/out of Guantanamo (who knew) and some miracuously ended up in his luggage :cheer:.  I smoked one well actually half and not a fan but not a  connoisseur either should have mailed it to fearless. Gave the other one to my dentist who loved them. I probably could have gotten more but he was already suppling me with Yuengling (that wasn't available in Ohio at the time) from his folks or inlaws going back/forth from PA so didn't want to impose

I bought a couple of Cohibas and Montecristos while in Europe.  They were quite good.  Worth the premium you pay for Cubans?  I have paid as much for other cigars just to try them and say I had, so in that sense sure. I certainly wouldn't turn one down if offered.  Couldn't find a Romeo Y Julieta so I would probably buy one if  can find it.

Smoked a couple of real Cubans in Honduras.  Not getting real Cubans in Mexico.  All fake.  There is a website where you can scan the barcode on the Cuban seal to see if they are real.

Can you link this website? Quite interested.

Speaking of, I recall being in Barbizon with my wine group and the ladies had stopped in some artsy fartsy shop, I looked around and said I'd be back, strolled down to the local bistro and ordered a glass of wine, around 4 PM.  There were many French dudes sitting around as well, outside, nice day, all drinking Coke.

My wife later remnded me their alcohol limit for driving is 0.04%.  Huh.

My wife's friend on that trip bought a painting by a friend of ours to have shipped home, my wife didn't notice the painter until the lady had asked her questions about it and liked it.  Our condo is mostly decorated with her art.
