At risk of offending the hotties thread...
People who "get work done" are rarely ok with limiting it, because they are trying to control it all. And it almost always (maybe always) turns out very badly. A good looking 50-year old will never look as good as a good looking 27-year old, but they can still look stunning, and almost always they look better without any "work."

It's also a good reminder that paying your mortgage based on how you look is a tough way to go through life. Fortunately I've never had to make that choice. :-)

Also, what is the freaking deal with the exaggerated lips? I just don't get it, but it's all over right now. Maybe this belongs on the unpopular opinions thread, but another thing (not that there are many women here, but...), girls: fishlips are not sexy. They make you look stupid.

Agreed on all points.  Vanity and all that.

My general thoughts are under 40 you can go for sexy --- over 40 should go for classy.  Classy is more sexy than sexy to me.

My vote is no.  It was a cesspool that brought out the worst in some people.  This place has been much more pleasant over the past few days due to its absence.

and yet you posted several times on it
were you at your worst

I thought we had behaved pretty well on that.  Could somebody ask daddy to restore it.
They killed it because “we” couldn’t STFU about Epstein.

Area51 is available if you care to go there.
Seconded.

It’s weird how it just being not right on the board change the energy of it and us, but it does. And feels for the better to me.

It’s interesting because clearly some people have a good hand on that toggle and do just enough of/get quality enough work that it stays looking natural.

I think Top Gun Maverick may have been my last trip to the theater.

I love the movie theater experience, there's just nothing worth a damn to go see.

Also, was telling my Gen Z son this --- I don't see movie tailers on TV near to the extent I used to.  Good advertising gets butts in seats, but I don't don't see them often anymore.  Is this just me?  If so, is it the straight to streaming services effect?
I feel like these days you have to kind of will yourself into the movie information stream.

you just have fewer advertisements in the classic way. And movies in theaters are probably tightening their focus to advertising to people who want to see movies in theaters, unless it’s Big tent pole stuff. And a lot of that is CGI/superhero fare.

Nope, it wasn't just one guy.

But anything further about it, can be discussed here:
