They apparently arrested another person, though a bit cryptic about it. Some conflicting statements though there is video out there of another arrest.
Apparently that guy was released as well? At least per the FBI director. As far as I can tell, suspect still at large.

No matter what side you fall on, it's truly a dark day for our country.
it really is. incredibly dark day for our country. i lose hope for humanity and lose faith in this country the older i get. truly one of the most horrific, inhumane, disgusting awful things i've ever seen. a true stain on the soul of this nation.

and this is coming from someone who was no fan of charlie kirk's or his bible thumper jesus jesus jesus schtick and in particular despised his despicable indefensible defense and cheerleading of Israel's genocide in Gaza and of Benjamin Netanyahu.

never in a million years would i have expected that to happen. people have the right to express their opinions and exercise their god given free speech rights. and newsflash: people are allowed to have different views than you hold. it's OK. you'll live if someone disagrees with you. it's one of the things that makes this country great. just because you do not like what someone says that does not give you the right to murder them in cold blood. i don't understand how that just does not compute with scumbag lunatics who think they have the right to commit violence because someone says words they don't like.

feel incredible sadness for his family, his wife, and his poor children. i am disgusted with the human race and this country right now. there really are no words. his poor little babies. my god.

same. more that comes out the more fishy it all seems. saw videos of a guy posted up on a rooftop with what looked like a rifle and then another video of what appears to be what i am assuming is the same guy running across the rooftop trying to flee after the shot.

authorities arrested two different suspects I believe and then let them both go. the real shooter is still at large. how is that possible? also saw video of a guy behind kirk just before the shots making weird hand gestures and playing with his hat almost like he's making signs with it like a baseball player would while he's recording with an iphone but weirdly not even looking at the iphone screen he's suppose to be recording with.

Sounds like they have some video and leads now.

It is probably just weird heat-of-the-moment stuff but it seems weird that they've arrested not one but two guys who appeared to be suspects but apparently weren't.

Now they have the weapon- the ammo- and clear video of his face, his route in, and route out.  Only a matter of time- but sure sounds like a pro job.

Also- messages on both weapon and ammo.  Motive will become clear.

Would a pro really leave behind all of that evidence?

Man, I don't know.

Left intentionally.    Route in planned, out, escape route.  Decent marksmanship.

Go to a shooting range on any weekend and you'll see plenty of people who can shoot pretty well, and most folks--even those disturbed enough to do this--can come up with a plan for getting in and out. That doesn't sound especially complicated. The shooter clearly knew what he was doing, but that hardly makes him a pro.
The whole thing sucks. Political violence sucks. Gun violence sucks. The increased anger at each other in the United States sucks. And that's all I have to say about that.

That’s why I said “sounds” like a pro.  We have no idea.
