geez, to get an average of 16%, the companies under the average must be the largest in the world by far and UnitedHealthcare must not do much business in comparison.

Those are just the largest, there are hundreds of companies.  I actually believe UHC has the largest market share in the US

Uhc is the largest provider and the data is only from plans bought on the marketplace.  I assume that most insurance is bought through employer and/or union health plans

Tom Herman Fired from FAU

That dude's trajectory has been... not great...

Tom probably blames the Longhorns

Just now noticing this – Tom Herman fired from FAU. To think this guy was once the Longhorns coach – was Texas rushing the process? And over excited about his Houston team beating #3 Oklahoma to start the 2016 season? A season in which Houston notched a few inexplicable loses after that?

Then when he gets to Austin the staff he brings in are underwhelming no-names. Then, capping his first season in the Texas Bowl, Herman does a sideline dance mocking the Missouri QB Drew Lock’s TD celebration, and looking like an idiot in doing so. The next season Herman tries to fight Mike Gundy midfield after losing a close one to Oklahoma State. Then Longhorns fans begin worrying more after losing in-state recruits like Quinn Ewers, Brockmeyer, and Jalen Milroe, a few citing that they didn’t like Herman. He also lost TWO season openers to Maryland.

Guy really came across as an obnoxious hothead.

After Texas I think Herman was hoping to rehabilitate himself by going the Lane Kiffin route at FAU and winning his way back to a bigger job. However, Kiffin restoring his image had more to do with productive years as Alabama’s OC before coaching at the Owls.

Herman’s tenure at FAU was a disaster, going 6-16, and most memorably he lost his temper over a slighted handshake with South Florida’s coach.

I think the real answer is that hiring coaches is always a crap shoot.  Herman may have been bad, but he looks like Nick Saban compared to the previous coach, Charlie Strong.

Even when you hire a championship pedigree coach (Fisher), it doesn't always translate into wins on the field.

Yup, if you look at the success rate of new-hire coaches at Top 25ish schools, it's pretty low.  Ohio State is a notable exception, but other bluebloods like Texas, USC, Michigan, Alabama pre-Saban, Notre Dame, and now even Oklahoma, have struggled with it quite a bit over the past 2 decades.

this. you just never know when it comes to coaching hires. very few sure fire things out there like Saban or Urbs.

Tom Herman was a disciple of Urbs, won a Natty as OC under Urbs and in his first stint as a head coach at Houston he had a 13-1 season. On paper he looked great and you’d have bet hey this will probably work. Turns out it didn’t.

Look at Michigan with RichRod. Back at the time he was a hot name, he’d turned down Bama the year before. WVU was an offensive juggernaut and Big East power. People thought if he could do that there just imagine what he could do with Michigan resources. Turns out he was terrible there.

You just never know. It’s a crap shoot almost every time.

Claim Denial Rates by U.S. Insurance Company : r/interestingasfuck
Wow..This certainly is a crazy, yet eye-opening story. Never wish this outcome on anyone, but what a scumbag company. I put State Farm up there when it comes to home and auto based on my experiences with them, but it's far different and worse when it's medical care and insurance.  The gunman, certainly a well trained individual after seeing the video.

I have UHC as my secondary health insurance and so far, for us, it has worked quite well.

It only takes one denial viewed by a nut case as being unfair to trigger some people.

I would not say he was "well trained", he had some experience with firearms.  Semiautomatic handguns in decent condition rarely misfire if you use decent ammunition.

I read that the jamming is common when the use of a suppressor is involved.

And shoot, for much of his tenure, Harbs was kind of a failure, and only by an act of administrative mercy and impossibly rare Coach decision-making did he get a chance to turn it.
