Saw this and thought I'd pass it along...

$1995 with the 48-month extended warranty built in is a good deal, even better if you have the executive membership which will knock another $40 off in your 2% reward...
Obviously we all have our own thoughts on how we exercise, including none at all. For me the issue with me and exercise isn't laziness, it's that anytime there's significant "friction" I find reasons not to do it. I previously had a gym membership 0.9 miles from my front door... And didn't go. That was too much friction. Having the Bike+ in my house so I didn't have to leave and go to the gym is a game changer for me personally. The best workouts are any workouts that we actually do, and this is one I actually do. I've completely changed my body in the last 2 1/2 years.
For me personally while the initial investment was high, it actually saves money on a per-month membership basis relative to the gym. My company reimburses up to $40/mo for gym membership. Previously I was spending lower than that, but had a membership for my wife that had zero reimbursement so it was all out of pocket. With this it's $44/mo, so I'm paying $4 out of pocket, but the membership includes account profiles for my wife and kids so I've actually reduced my monthly outlay...
I know @SuperMario has one as well in case he wants to share.
Just figured I'd post it since it looks like it will be a limited time / seasonal thing for now...
I was really against the Peloton at first and my wife really wanted it. So I made a deal with her. I would by a Sunny bike from Amazon that was $400 and if she used it 3 times a week for 6 months and this wasn't just a phase, i'd buy her a Peloton. She did, so Christmas brought her a Peloton and our household far better health. When we decided to build a new home in 2020, we made it a priority to allocate plenty of space to a home gym. I thought i still needed to go to the gym so i did, but for my wife, the Peloton was enough so the monthly expense was about the same, maybe a tad more at that point.
Now enter my physical medical issues and Peloton became incredibly important to me. Prior to, i probably road it 2-3 times a month. Nothing major. Once I could do anything physically, i started on the bike. At that point, even walking was a challenge. i couldn't run, couldn't jump rope and walking wasn't fun, but the bike gave stability and the cardio my body needed. It was truly a blessing to leading towards recovery and building a little strength back.
Nowadays, i have gained a lot back. Our home gym is my gym. I'm no longer about how much can i get my bench, squat, deadlift and physical appearance to. The mindset is way different. It's, what things can i do that lead to a best functional body. I do way more with dumbells, kettle bells, pull ups, etc so that I hopefully am never in a position I can't even lift up a newborn child, which I had to experience. During the winter and cold months, I'm definitely on the Peloton. I don't do classes, I do the rides with scenery in different parts of the world. During the summer months, i have a couple guys that we do pickleball at lunch when it's nice out and it gives me my physical cardio. I'm crazy thankful that my body has now started to allow the movement and doesn't crazy dizziness nor my head feeling like it's rattling as it's only been a couple months like this.
Long story short, Peloton is pretty incredible for convenience and for less than ideal physical situations. My wife has loved it during pregnancies and we have both loved it for convenience. Some days I don't have a lot of time, but a 20 min ride can push my cardio to where it needs to be and just driving to the gym would be 10 mins there and back so it saves some days that I would have had to skip in the past. Lastly, gym expense used to be about $70 per month for the both of us and Peloton is something like $44 so the monthly expense is slightly less. That being said, i can admit we've definitely outspent the savings on dumbells, kettlebells, benches squat racks and bars and the commercial cable machine that's being added in the spring. With a lot of little kids running around, we have a tiny annual budget on nights out and almost no budget on drinking, so we allocate it to clean food and exercise. Sometimes life and your body tells you it's time to change or you're out of time.
