Strength in numbers is the issue. Our military is at its lowest number since pre-WWII, from what I can gather.

I don't imagine we'd attempt to send an occupying force anywhere.

I'd tend to agree.

But let's say we are distracted by this, and Dickface tries to move on NATO, while China and Rocket man get aggressive on their side, with South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, etc.

We are in no position to fight a two-front war, from what I can gather, listening to retired generals and other high-ranking former members of our services.

Not only that, but many former military guys, at least those in my circle, are less willing to jump back in compared to their willingness in the past. There's still a great love for our country, their brother's, but they are incredibly tired of fighting meaningless wars over seas, just to experience their brothers next to them dying.

That is the sentiment of my son, who wasted two 9 months tours in 'Stan for no reason whatsoever.

He'll always be a marine. But certainly not active.

Well BBC currently reporting it was only 150 missiles and no known injuries as of yet.  So perhaps it doesn't have to come to all that...

I appreciate him more than I can put into words. One of my closest friends was there for two tours as well. He was an Army Special Forces sniper. PTSD is a real thing and some of their experiences are beyond comprehension. One of the best men I've ever met. He's an absolute freak of nature in so many ways, but he and his circle say the same thing.. in hindsight, we were there for absolutely no reason.

Wish Israel could get their laser dome up before all this, but thankfully the current system does a lot too limit the damage of the missile onslaughts.
