To this day I work with police- very much informal nowadays, but still enjoy having inside line on happenings.
I live on the coast and in a middle class neighborhood of mostly retired folks. It's quiet mostly and with the exception of three problems, it's safe. Each of those problems were inherited- literally- the scum bags who live nearby inherited their properties from well to do parents who passed. It's a trend- of you inherit a property here you're most likely a drug dealing scum bag... which is the case.
One daughter is 24 and gone from the nest, now. The other turns 10 in a couple weeks. If one was any younger and the other any older they'd be targets for the scumbags. If that was the case I'd already cleared them out with the law or ipposing it. As it is, these jackasses outright own the property and are dug in like tics. On the bright side, I know almost all the neighbors as we share information and keep watch because of these twits.
Yeah. I'm the guy who lived here as a single guy not too long ago and would pop corn and watch from the driveway in begrudged amusement before family came about... but now?
When there are drugs and money present it's not a matter of if it's a matter of when someone comes to get them both. My life is invested here- I came from nothing and this is what I chose to spend it on, and some scum bag free loader living off trusts and slinging drugs isn't going to chase me off my bone. I spent near a half mil for this place when it's all said and done... theyre literally just here because their mom or pop was a good person who left them something they didn't deserve.
You're damn right I'm armed and there are stashes in several places. For you types who live behind gates and in areas who don't have to worry about such things, for once consider those not as privileged with your smart ass comments.
And... for the record.. my wife is an attorney and a damn good one which means I'm effed to hell if that train ever leaves the tracks- but more meant to offer I've not a thing against attorneys...... but I do have something against a world where they're needed as often as they are. That's not a world I'd want to live in, but it's what we got.
