Different strokes.  I'm  1 of 3 boys, Mom said often she was glad she didn't have 3 girls.    I have 2 girls,  I often drift out of the room wondering what planet I'm on.    The drama and emotional swings are so foreign to me.  I suppose my girls aren't breaking stuff and rough on the wood floors, wood trim and floorboards.

By the time my son was in High School he had broken both arms and probably had close to 100 stitches 

He had been to the ER so many times the nurses would say high when passing and calli him by his first name

It reminded me of an episode of Home Improvement where the ER had a coffee cup with Tim's name on it

Boys are harder up to 11-12, the girls get harder (including the boys eventually chasing them), imo.  But I'm not a parent.

I suspect different children are harder independent of their sex, it just varies from child to child and folks say "Well, boys/girls are tougher", whichever is applicable.  It's just the individual.

Mine were all very different.
