This is true, I've been to 3-4 "Luaus".  The serve BBQ pig, it's decent, once you've seen one though, you've seen them all.

I've been to multiples because folks wanted me to take them.  We usually  have a crowd when we go, as we have planned this December for two weeks, this one is all family with one exception, our neighbor is going for one week with us.

I mean, that is a very not good thing. Homelessness is alas a deeply intractable issue. So much of it is tied to drug addiction and mental health issues. Many who served our country have fallen into it, and it's just a bear to get out of. 

And the only salve for communities is often just having government harass folks and destroy their meager property until they just go somewhere else. A real tragedy.

I'm just concerned that a lot of the idiots moving here are going to ruin the state and turn it into what they are fleeing.

Orlando is nice, just boring as shit with no beaches. Jacksonville is a dump, Tampa is an armpit. South Florida is SUPER freaking nice. Those 4 places probably have 80-90% of the entire states population. There's nice little seaside towns like Destin or Seaside WAY up north. But they are kinda red-necky. There's nice little seaside rich towns on the West Coast like Naples. But they are all SUPER boring.

Most of the state is empty barren wasteland with little to no population and the people that live in those areas are 100% trashbags- but that's true of pretty much any state.
