I love my Global knife collection. Not terribly expensive, and great performance.

speaking of guns/knives....

Apparently LeChina/LeBitch/LeVagina/LeWoman James thinks it's A-OK to attack another human being with a knife right in front of a police officer and the officer is supposed to just stand there and watch and do nothing.

Is there a bigger bitch/hypocrite/moron in the history of sports than LeBitch? Cannot stand that f**king moron and all the sycophants who suck his balls and have the unmitigated gall, the audacity-  to put that woman in the same sentence as Jordan.

Ehh. I'm happy with what I already have:

I'm just messing around.  I only have a decent set of really old Henkels, I'm not much of a knife snob.

The best, most used, and cheapest knife I own, is my brisket/roast slicer from Ace Mart.

They often speak of the million dollar athlete with a ten cent head.

Lebron might be the first billion dollar athlete with a one cent head.

The bulk of my knife "collection" is Victorinox with the fibrox handles. Tremendous value, holds an edge really well, and if something happened to one of them, I wouldn't lose any sleep.

The prized knife is the Tanaka Sekiso 270mm Gyuto in Blue #2 carbon steel (the one I pictured). Gift from my wife for Christmas a few years ago. It's just gorgeous, but most importantly it's easy to sharpen and holds its edge better than anything I've ever used. And the thing just glides through anything you want to cut. It's not cheap, but I think it's worth every dollar she spent ;-)

This absolutely drives me crazy. Why is everyone so obsessed with what athletes or celebrities think? For the most part, vast majority of them are complete and utter uneducated morons. People actually think that just because someone can act or sing or dunk a basketball- that their opinion means anything? Makes no sense to me. F**ked up celebrity hero worship culture/society we live in- when in reality most of those people are f**king idiots that just know how to do one thing at a high level- and many times it's just genetic (sports) or they are complete psychopaths (actors).

If "we" ignored what they say, well ....

I'm interested in a good general purpose knife, I looked at some of the Japanese offerings but didn't buy.  I have a sort of midrange butcher block set that are OK, kids have it to me a while back.  My main blade has to be sharpened almost daily if I'm to cut something more precisely.

An SEM of a sharp versus dull blade is fascinating. n The bottom is a razor after three passes on the strop.

Would FF be the problem if he wanted an AR-15 to hunt or protect himself?
Not if an AR 15 is an appropriate gun for such things.  I'm not part of the crowd treating a particular gun as the boogeyman.

We need our own royal family to obsess over, apparently.  THe fault isn't with the stars, but in ourselves.

Is someone gonna come and try to take this away from me?

Fear no. 1938283294029238 that has never remotely happened, ever never ever.  I call that an irrational fear.

I once was a bit into target shooting (pistol), which is something different from hunting and self defense obviously.  I doubt any real target shooters are dangerous.

The firearms often are bolt action single shot specialized items.

The vast majority of gun crimes are committed with pistols for obvious reasons.  Folks focus on certain rifles instead.

The Ruger Mini-14 is a nice example of a gun that looks "OK" but actually is  the equivalent of the dreaded assault rifle in terms of firing rate, lethality of the round itself, magazine size, you name it, but it "looks" less dangerous.  It isn't.
