this is true, but it is missing context. The Obama administration built the "cages" and had separated children from adults, but only in certain cases. Trump administration applied a "zero tolerance" policy and separated all kids from adults. This policy was short lived and eventually they went back to the Obama administration policy- but it happened. Can't change history. Both policies are seriously f'ed up, Trump's zero tolerance even more so than Obama's.

The US should really stop meddling in the affairs of Central and South America and stop destroying those countries which only leads to mass immigration from those countries into the US. Maybe if we didn't you know, make those countries into shitholes the people there wouldn't be fleeing to come here? What if we actually tried to invest in those countries and help them develop. What an idea!

context means lesser of two evils as is the case with politics

at times, depending on their "goals" or want to throw crap on the party on the other side of the aisle, both Dems and Reps build walls or put kids in cages or whatever.

then a while later when the "other" party does the same thing, there's outrage.

and the media somehow ignores the context and the history and jumps on the story to divide the country again and again
