It's completely valid to bring up the failures of the prior administration in enforcing the laws, when discussing the task set before the current administration.

It's not a Democrat/Republican thing either, Obama was pretty strong on enforcing immigration laws.  For whatever reasons, the Biden administration was extremely weak.

I think it’s valid as a part of the conversation, not as a non-sequitur when discussing due process afforded by the laws of the U.S.  

Biden’s immigration policy (failed or not) does not give Trump carte blanche.

It’s so hard to have actual criticism of the current President when it’s just waved away with witticisms like TDS and Orange Man Bad. 

President Obama deported illegal immigrants following our immigration laws.  President Trump fabricated a reason to invoke the Alien Enemies Act and shipped people to a shady foreign prison.

There is a rather noisy "protest" happening just outside our condo right now.  My wife was annoyed that someone posted information about it on the building web site and said she was going to say something.  (I advised her not to.)  Anyway, they are making noise.  They don't like DJT apparently.

It's a nice quiet day otherwise.

Usually they march by and are soon gone, but this group apparently has stalled out just north of us, and cars are honking as they pass.  It's not a big deal to me, minorly annoying.

In other news, my wife was commenting about how many very young women of a certain race were walking by who are morbidly, incredibly obese, maybe with artifially enlarged hips and lips.  Being that fat at 30 is not good.  They can barely walk as it is.

Now I hear fire trucks, but they seem further north.

An influx of illegal immigrants is plenty enough reason to enact stricter laws or to speed up deportation within the confines of our existing legal system.  The Alien Enemies Act states:
