The level of ineptitude and incompetence is stunning, and I would think someone would pay the price for that at the lower levels, but probably won't.

They were incompetent either way, and treasonous in one way if true.  I'd think they would have been so incompetent that it would come out eventually.  It would take more than 1-2 people to have schemed this if that was the intent.

on a more personal note Ive actually had some experience watching the SS work. Back
in 2004 President Bush Sr celebrated his 90th birthday by sky diving in College Station.
The company I worked for was asked to cater the luncheon where he would speak after his jump.

Anyway everybody who worked at our home office attended as well.

During the prep time prior to the actual lunch Im sitting there with our company attorney and this guy walks up and shows his ID to us and says hes from the SS and who were we.  I told him who we were and he sat down next to us to talk. What struck me about him was his normal appearance. He was dressed in slacks and a Hawaiian shirt.  You would have never guessed he worked for the SS.

Anyway he would sometimes ask if we knew this guy or that girl etc

I asked him if he was from DC and he said no he was out of a local office which was interesting. He sat there with us for about 30 minutes and then excused himself and went over to other groups of people most were from the news media and talked to them

That was an amazing day

they said they were sorry

BOGOTÁ, Colombia—The U.S. is pursuing a long-shot bid to push Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to give up power in exchange for amnesty as overwhelming evidence emerges that the strongman lost last month’s election, people familiar with the matter said.

The U.S. has discussed pardons for Maduro and top lieutenants of his who face Justice Department indictments, said three people familiar with the Biden administration deliberation. One of the people said the U.S. has put “everything on the table” to persuade Maduro to leave before his term ends in January.


Another person familiar with the talks said the U.S. would be open to providing guarantees not to pursue those regime figures for extradition. The U.S. in 2020 placed a $15 million bounty for information leading to Maduro’s arrest on charges of conspiring with his allies to flood the U.S. with cocaine.

Maduro has said that he is open to talks as long as Washington shows him respect. At other times, he tells the U.S. to mind its own business. “Don’t mess with Venezuela’s internal affairs, that’s all I ask for,” Maduro said in a news conference Friday.
