pretty massive news coming out late last night that someone leaked a SCOTUS initial draft majority opinion written by Supreme Court Justice Alito which states that the Supreme Court is going to overturn Roe v. Wade- leaving the abortion issue up to the states and effectively making abortions illegal in half the country.
No draft in the history of the court has been disclosed publicly while a case was pending. Pretty shocking and obviously it was someone trying to influence the court- which is a huge problem in and of itself. I'm all for leakers when it comes to the government- people like Bradley Manning or Edward Snowden did a great service to this country letting us know what our federal government and it's "intelligence" agencies and military were really doing and shining light on the laws they were breaking and crimes they were committing. Those people were heroes that deserved pardons and parades. This? This is just flat out disgusting. They need to find the leaker and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. You cannot have someone leaking in order to influence the freaking Supreme Court.
