Or recluses. This is political correctness run amok.

Louis Francis Sockalexis (October 24, 1871 – December 24, 1913), nicknamed The Deerfoot of the Diamond, was an American baseball player. Sockalexis played professional baseball in the National League for three seasons, spending his entire career (1897-1899) as an outfielder for the Cleveland Spiders.

The team name was changed to Indians in his honor

Great Lakes Brewing named a Beer after it.Rivers had previously caught fire in Chicago,New York and Pittsburgh.Usually when oil/petroleum products were ignited somehow. In Cleveland a barge on the River was leaking oil - as it flowed under a rail road trestle that was being welded/repaired.The good thing to come out of it was it launched Earth Day and the Clean Water Act.And now you know the rest of the story.

If the team relocated in Cali it could be the Burning Countryside ;D

TCF Bank is no more. They're being bought out by Huntington Bank, and the name of the New Brickhouse will be changing.

Then again, I've called the Gophers' home the New Brickhouse since the outset, so this doesn't change much.

I wish Kroger would stock more goat
A friend of mine that we usually use for our beef supply, also raises goats. I may have to give it a try.

Upscale Mexican is probably the best meal I've ever eaten. The imagination alone was incredible.

And, no. No tacos, burritos, enchiladas.
The closest I have came to upscale Mexican was Rita's on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. It was pretty good.

I'd just stay with the beef.

I just read the definitive book on the jnfamous 1899 Spiders.  Really enjoyed it.  Anyways. Sockalexis had great promise, incredible prospect and flashes of greatness. cannon of an arm, but I don't think he made it half a full season during his three seasons.  Big time alcohol problems.    The readings I've done which there are many, suggest it isnt entirely clear why Indians was the nickname chosen in 1915, after running through so many names prior to this.  Its more legend than fact that it was solely because of Sockalexis.  It certainly wasn't the girl who wrote the local paper with the suggestion.  I suppose there will some dusting off of these stories.

I'd support Spiders, which understandably was loathed for some time following the syndicate era which culminated with the 20-134 record in 1899.
