Sausage McMuffins for a buck apiece are nothing to sneeze at.

Where you guys live, is the "value menu" still a dollar menu?

I don't know if it's just CA prices, but it seems like most of what the items I used to recall being a dollar a piece are like $1.79 or higher now.

Well I saw that once in Canada. Only there the dollar menu items were only $1.49 instead of $1.79.

Apparently CA has an even weaker dollar than Canada.

I don't love breakfast sausage.  I don't hate it, but I don't love it.  I'd rather have the McMuffin in OG form, with Canadian bacon.

I got an apple pie this morning from McDonalds.  For 59 cents, it's a great deal.
Its not the type though which had to have been concocted in a laboratory.   They never did bring that back, have they?

That is my go to when we're traveling, with a senior coffee.

The wife it seems nearly always wants something changed, or added, or finagled.  I can't quite convince her this results in mangled orders.  She'll order an egg white McMuffin, but then with cheese, and sauce on the side, and no potatoes, but a Coke, and no bacon.  Or something.  With a French accent through a mask.

In France, you order with a flat panel kiosk thingee so you can do that.  In the US, the trainee cashier who started working an hour before gets it all mangled every time.  She ends up with a quarter pounder and fries and can't understand why.

It was probably made by Bama Pie, Inc., in Tulsa.

I work with a guy who used to work in the plant in Ohio that produced the Jack In The Box tacos.  They make them fresh and then flash-freeze them.   He was in IT but they allowed all sorts of employees to perform QC by eating samples from each batch.

When it used to be deep fried in lard?

I'm not thrilled with breakfast sausage either. But...

-You need to be at work at 0600
-A McD's is at the exit where you get off to go to work, and the drive-thru is open 24 hours
-Sometimes I overslept to where I needed to be in the car and moving 2 minutes after waking up

All of that meant that during the time I worked there, I ate more sausage mcmuffins than I want to admit.  Needless to say, I don't eat many anymore.

Do y'all get those Jimmy Dean frozen microwaveable sausage/egg/cheese biscuits up there?  I'll admit that those are a guilty pleasure for me.  We used to eat them at the cabin on my friend's ranch, at like 5 AM before heading out to go hunting.  Back in college I could put down 5 or 6 pretty easy.  For a long hunting weekend, we'd buy about 10 big boxes of those, and still run out.

A light loafered George Costanza slinging McDLTs in the 80s, while singing and dancing.

Of the many problems with that idea, there is one that I did not notice until now. They insert the cheese between the tomato and the lettuce? Why on Earth would anybody do that?
