Get me something with a lil gin, and I’m a happy camper.

My eldest drinks very little, but for whatever reason gin drinks are the ones they are most interested in. I like gin in low quantities, but I think it's the most distinct clear, so I'm surprised that it's the one that they leans towards.

Definitely lets you know it’s gin.

I don’t mind a brown liquor, but my palate isn’t refined, so there’s a bit of guilt having something real good (if it’s a friend’s)

Normally, I’m a bourbon guy, but if you throw a Bombay sapphire with some cheese, stuffed olives in front of me, I will definitely join in.

Yeah, how dare the highly intelligent prioritize evidence, making logical sense, and objective facts/truth!

How insensitive of them!

The author doesn't cite any studies or even anecdotal personal experiences.  She just asserts her points throughout.  Which makes me wonder.....where is the evidence?  Asserting your points without anything to back them up....that doesn't make sense.  I mean, truly, how she feels doesn't matter if it's not true.  In fact I'd say she's overreacting right now.  Because it's entirely possible that what she's saying is actually not true.  We need to buttress our opinions with facts, it's really simple, and everyone knows that.  I read articles like these and I swear, people don't think anymore.  The fact she spilled so much digital ink on this makes me think she's just too sensitive about the whole thing.

Curiously, I just finished a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and replaced with with a Costco branded bottle, which I like more. (But I mostly drink bourbon when I'm pouring liquor.)

More than 72 million people are expected to travel over the week of the Fourth of July, setting a new record, according to AAA.

Here's what you need to know:

Air travel
According to AAA, top domestic destinations for the Fourth of July are Seattle; Orlando, Florida; Anchorage, Alaska; Miami; and New York City.

American Airlines said it is expecting to break records, with 8.1 million customers flying on more than 80,000 flights -- a nearly 10% increase from last year. American considers holiday travel to be between Thursday, June 25, and Monday, July 6.

American's most patriotic flight on the Fourth of July will be Flight 1776, which is scheduled to leave Philadelphia at 6:46 p.m. ET and arrive in Boston in time for the fireworks show.

United Airlines said it's preparing for about 6 million passengers over the Fourth of July holiday, which it considers from Friday, June 26 to Monday, July 6. The airline said it's seeing an increase in bookings for Philadelphia and Boston.

Alaska Airlines said it has 6,283 flights scheduled from Friday, July 3 to Monday, July 6 -- a 2.5% increase from last year. The airline said its busiest days will be July 3 and July 6.

Road travel
AAA projects 61.4 million people will travel by car over the Fourth of July holiday, which it considers Saturday, June 27, through Sunday, July 5.
