If you're running low on TP, and in the Vegas area, go to the public restrooms in the Venetian.  To this day, the only public TP that isn't half-ply.
Well I'm holed up about 120 miles away. Not terribly close, but probably quite a bit closer than anyone else.

Of course the casinos are all closed.

A buddy of mine runs a carpet cleaning service in LV.  He says the city is likely to be hardest hit economically of any in the country, perhaps the world.

perhaps I'll be able to purchase a decent retirement house on the golf course near Vegas if the market crashes again as it did 10 or 15 years ago

This could be a quick in and out depression, hopefully, .... or not.

Man, it is barely April and it is already scorching hot here.

I'm like a snow bird in reverse. Winter up north, and summer down south.

I think that I am doing it wrong.

I'm thinking I'm old enough to play a round of golf in the early morning - thinking the crack of dawn

Then nap in the A/C the rest of the afternoon

Beautiful day here, but I'm stuck inside as two guys replace one of our heat pumps.  They are making good progress it seems.  The "old" one was 6 years old.

With a 5 year warranty.

They aren't exactly cheap.  The first estimate I got was nearly $8 K.  I asked for the details by email and he never sent anything.  A second estimate was promised and never came at all (two weeks ago).  I don't get it.

I'd wait a few weeks before sending a check

Well, the new unit is here now partially installed, he said he needed some parts.  It looks nice, but it sits in a closet and I won't ever see it except to change the filter.  He did say the upstairs unit is in good shape.

This is a water sourced heat pump.

For some reason I thought the heat source was burning toilet paper. Or, is the filter made from toilet paper?

I'm confused.

Of late, threads have tended to meander probably because many of us are bored.

Not me, just taught for 2 hours, then cut 10 teams for Whoa Nellie.  I made 45 Army and now someone wants to know if I can make 63 Navy.
