Said that during the game. Haskins is so damn physical- defenders don't want to tackle him by the 4th QTR. LOVE the way that kid runs. He isn't looking to dance around- he's looking to run right at you and through you. Warrior.
Amen to that as well and he will make a great back in the NFL

For those who have played- you know how painful it can be to tackle a good player in cold weather.

By the second half I could see OSU players hesitating for just that split second.
HS games are thru by the 1st week in November but we played into february at the park by my house. On Michigans last TD Steele Chambers went after a blocker taking on one of the LBs and the play went right up the gut past him into the EZ.We were like what the hell are you doing, course we said that alot yesterday

There is an aspect of randomness that pervades a football game.  A few inches here and there, a couple holding calls, someone falling down, ....

I see it frequently of course, if THAT had not happened, the other teams wins.  Usually it is multiple "THATS".  Folks ascribe outcomes to motivation and whatever else, often it's just the way the ball bounces.

Honestly Nubbz- I don’t think Ohio State was flat at all.
That's what we had been discussing, two firends both coached one was an AD at the local school. They were like it reminded them of the oregon game and not the last 2-3 where they captured lightning in a bottle.Michigan had closer contests for the most part and perhaps stayed sharper.Like Ohio State in '02 where seemingly every game hung in the balance

10 penalties is excessive, even if most are the 5 yard variety

CJ Stroud had been sick- he had lost his voice- and that crowd was super rowdy and loud. OSU OL were having trouble hearing him and the snap count- which is why there was so many false starts for OSU.

Playing on the road vs a loud, fired up crowd of 100,000+ in crappy weather is a bitch- especially when your QB had been sick and his voice is shot and he can't really bark out the calls. People for some reason beyond my comprehension keep discounting just how tough it is to play on the road in hostile environments in this conference. It's a son of a bitch.

maybe you go to the "CLAP"

6 or 7 false starts is too many regardless of the circumstances

Haskins:

1,232 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 100 first downs, and only 3 negative rushes all year for a total loss of six yards. If that's not workhorse, workmanlike moving the chains and producing positive plays- I don't know what is.

If this kid had the elite 4.3/4.4 speed he'd be a 1st rd pick. 6'1, 225 and runs like a man possessed and also blocks his ass off to in pass protection. Almost the perfect back. His only flaw that I can see is that lack of home-run speed.

Ty- You need to stop with the Stroud criticism. The guy completed 70% of his passes for 400 yards, no turnovers and two touchdowns. He had a QBR of 83, which was better than McNamara’s, all while under tremendous pressure, In an extremely hostile environment and extremely crappy weather.
Stroud had a great game in normal circumstances. Add to it that it was The Game, in the snow, he had been sick and he faced the amount of pressure he did, he had an outstanding game. Olave uncharacteristically dropped two passes that should have been caught for at minimum 40 more yards.

im not sure how much more you can ask from the kid. He looked really good. Made some incredible passes. The ball he threw over Hutchinson to Henderson, had a perfect touch, which normally a throw that young struggles with. Bucks are in good hands at the qb spot

Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller announced that he will enter the NCAA transfer portal. Sources confirmed to 247Sports that he has officially entered the portal. Miller, a former four-star recruit, took to Twitter and addressed a letter to his Ohio State teammates, coaches, families and Buckeye Nation.
