I like the idea of pulling kids out of Iowa, but keeping the guy from Burke in Nebraska was HUGE

I never blame a kid for taking a Stanford offer. Good football and great degree.

Jim Harbaugh will tell you that.

"Michigan is a good school and I got a good education there, but the athletic department has ways to get borderline guys in, and when they're in, they steer them to courses in sports communications. They're adulated when they're playing, but when they get out, the people who adulated them won't hire them."

- Jim Harbaugh, 2007, Stanford Head Coach

The truth is, he was speaking the truth, if not embellishing it a bit. But man, I can't believe the brass at UM ever got past those comments.

Just the RichRod years weren't enough to overlook them, but the RichRod years combined with the Hoke years...

sucks to lose a 4*, but this kid was lying for months about how firm his commitment was to Michigan. Combine that with the fact that he stunk it up at the opening and his rankings are in free fall- he started out as a top 30 player and a 5* in the 247Composite- he's slid to #86 in the composite and all the way to #156 in 247's own rankings- I say good-riddance and goodbye. His rankings slide isn't over yet either. He'll continue to fall. Recent DE commit David Ojabo is bigger, stronger, faster, has a better body/build for the position- and he'll probably wind up flying up the rankings with a strong SR year. He's very similar to Jayson Oweh and Eyabi Anoma in that he's originally from Africa and his football experience is limited. Oweh wound up flying up to #76 in the composite and Anoma wound up flying up to #4. Ojabo is from the same HS as Oweh actually, and the "analysts" who've seen them both say Ojabo has more upside- that he's bigger, longer, leaner, stronger, and more athletic than Oweh.

A bunch of CBs on Mangham flipping surprisingly to Colorado.  He put out an ultimatum that you had to take his brother with him, and I'm guessing that took a lot of people out of the running.  I honestly thought he was joking, but some reports saying he wasn't.
Colorado it is.
He aware Bill McCartney's daughter is like 50 now?

I don't think so. They wouldn't have booted him at this point in time. He just really wanted a degree from Stanford. Can't blame him.
Now if Zach Harrison called up Jim and said hey I wanna come to Michigan, someone would've definitely gotten the boot from Jim IMO.

The top OU insider over at 247Sports just put in a crystal ball for Michigan for 5* Safety Daxton Hill and said Hill has essentially dropped Oklahoma. Hill is the #1 safety, #1 player in the state of Oklahoma, and the #10 player overall in the 247Composite. He is the younger brother of Oklahoma State RB Justice Hill. Daxton Hill's crystal balls were like 80%+ in favor of Oklahoma. Couple more have started to turn to Michigan after.

Sounds like he's basically down to Alabama and Michigan, and Michigan might actually have the lead there. Would be huge. Hill checked in at 6'0.5" and 187 at the opening and he ripped off the fastest 40 time there with a 4.37.
