Dobbs unloads on other schools.  I love this stuff, because much of the news we get out of recruiting is third hand gossip and not much primary sourcing.  Says OSU coaches lied to him about playing time, USC coaches kept calling him Big Daddy, and UM coaches were arrogant robots.

On a similar note, I read a story about a recent UW commit from NW Wisconsin. He went for a visit to Minnie, which was very close to home. He came out of it and said there was no way he could play for the coach up there. I'll try to dig it up.

3* WR Alante Brown from Chicago commits to MSU over Missouri and Minnesota.  Is a HS QB, but MSU seems to like that type.  He's been clocked sub 4.4, so he's an absolute burner, but is a major project at the position.

Lol.   Yes, apparently the OSU coaches telling him he had a shot a playing time as a freshmen, was a lie to him.
I guess being a 5 star lineman from Michigan is nothing like the last 4 star lineman they got from Michigan, Michael Jordan, who has started every game since his freshmen year and will likely choose the NFL next year...
Ironically, OSU recruits ( the ones they get and don’t get) universally say they are never promised playing time, just an opportunity to earn it.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

And 3* RB Brandon Wright from OH, over Pitt, Purdue and Indiana.  Second name to commit today who hadn't even been on the radar.

Probably means they know Mangham is headed to Texas or Texas A&M

And 3* RB Anthony Williams out of Chicago over Oregon State.  That has to absolutely seal the deal on Mangham

A bunch of CBs on Mangham flipping surprisingly to Colorado.  He put out an ultimatum that you had to take his brother with him, and I'm guessing that took a lot of people out of the running.  I honestly thought he was joking, but some reports saying he wasn't.

DE Michael Fletcher and WR Tre Mosley both announcing on Friday.  With Dobbs (MSU) and Smith (UM) coming off the board in the past week, Fletcher and Mosley are probably the #1 and #4 uncommitted players on the board in the state.

Mosley himself claims to have grown up a huge UM fan, and while he has an offer, it seems pretty clearly uncommitable.  So did that change, or is he tired of them slow playing him?  He took officials in recent weeks to Missouri and Minnesota, but it seems like anything but UM or MSU would be a shock, and unless something has changed with that UM offer, it likely leaves only MSU.  The question is whether that sticks if UM comes around on him.

Fletcher is a guy who seems primed to shoot up the rankings, with offers coming in from Alabama and Georgia.  Georgia has been on him a while, and he visited down there, but like Mosley it seems like UM and MSU are his leaders.  The difference is there his UM offer is certainly commitable, and while going out of state would be a slight surprise, it certainly wouldn't be the shock that Mosley is.

Beyond those, LB Lance Dixon and RB Jaren Manham are the only big-ish targets left in the state.  Dixon seems destined for PSU.  Mangham is anyone's guess.  Seemed like an MSU commit was only a matter of time, but he lived in Texas as a small child (I think his mom played basketball or track or something at Texas A&M), and while Alabama, FSU and Florida offers didn't seem to move the needle for him, he seems quite enamored with the Texas schools.  My guess is MSU is still probably the leader, but barely, but the biggest threats would be Texas or Texas A&M.
Mosley to MSU, filling up the class pretty quickly this week on the heels of the Mathis news last weekend.  I think 6 recruits now in the past 72 hours, with Fletcher announcing in about 45 minutes.  Forgot Oregon had offered Mosley as well.

That UM fan meme of MSU being 10th in the Big Ten in recruiting last Sunday didn't age particularly well.  Up to #3 in the Big Ten and #19 nationally.  Will move up to #17 if Fletcher commits.

Interesting, no Georgia hat on the table.  MSU, UM, Wisconsin, Alabama, Nebraska and Kentucky.

MSU it is.
Quite the week on the recruiting trail.  1/3 of a class in about 3 days.
