It's funny how many all of sudden got Covid-19 after the news broke about the investigations.

Gives us a chance to have a change in athletic department and coaching staff.

Basilio said Big Jim Haslam wasn't to fond of Pruitt or his abuse of the English language. Supposedly Fulmer and Pruitt were Charlie Anderson picks.

These are the people along with other big money donors that have been running the UT football program into the ground for sticking their noses in where it doesn't belong. They're allowed to because they donate the big bucks.

Charles C. Anderson Jr. is a Florence, Alabama, native who came to UT Knoxville on an athletic scholarship to play football and major in marketing.

He began serving on the UT Board of Trustees in 2007 and on the UT Knoxville athletics board in 2003. A generous gift from Anderson and his wife, Moll, established the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Moll Anderson Scholarship—an endowed scholarship for single parents. A gift from the couple also marked a significant investment in the state-of-the-art Anderson Training Center for the Vols football program.

He’s the third-generation head of a company—Anderson Media—his grandfather founded in 1917 as a newsstand.

.WHAT ABOUT THE HOUSE OF HASLAM?
Several insiders have told us for some time "Big Jim" Haslam doesn't care for Jeremy Pruitt's use (or abuse) of the English language or his coaching. Haslam just turned 90, but is still razor sharp and will follow things from his living room. Son Jimmy Haslam appears to be back interested in how things have cratered with his alma mater's football program, now that donor Charlie Anderson's power play of Fulmer/Pruitt has blown a tire and careened off a bridge.

Charlie and Fulmer are big buddies.  Charlie played at UT and is a huge Vol fan.  How much input he has had in the coaching searches, I don't know.  But hopefully, Fulmer will get his act together - hopefully he'll have 12 months to plan for a new coach (too expensive to fire now).

So now Haslam is the hero?
You guys were trashing the Haslams unmercifully after Jones was fired.
3 years ago the Haslams were the root of  of UT's problems.
Never thought I would see the Haslams the flavor of the week again.
I need a score sheet ..
Pruitt ....bad
Fulmer....bad
Anderson...bad
Haslam...good
Smokey.. bad
Neyland...good?
Majors .. good

I think they were or at least a large contributor to the problem

Never thought I would see the Haslams the flavor of the week again.

Like sleepy Joe, the new flavor of the week?

President Harry S. Truman said: “The fundamental basis of this nation’s laws was given to Moses on the Mount.  The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings…  If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.”

Good grief . You guys have selective memory. When Pruitt was hired, no decent coach in America would take the job after the 30 day fiasco we went thru after Jones was fired. Have you already forgotten Barnes would be gone now had Fulmer not stepped in .
We had the best baseball team in over 10 years when the season was cancelled and we would have list that coach if Fulmer hadnt managed to keep him at UT.
Fulmercis the AD for all the sports not just football.
Fulmer doesn't need to get his act together but some fans definitely need to get out of hysterical mode.
This type of behavior is exactly why we're in the shape we're now in.

I have never criticized the Haslam family - others have, but not me.
But as for Pruitt, nice try, but doesn't seem to be working out.
But he gets one more year to fix things as UT cannot afford to pay out Pruitt and his staff.
But I fully expect Fulmer to do his homework done completely and have a few preliminary conversations with some talented coaches so that this time next year, if he needs to pull the trigger, he has options 1, 2 and 3 all lined up.

I think we spent weeks persuing coaches who finally said "no", etc. and finally went with Pruitt.  Fulmer needs to put in the legwork in the next 6 to 9 months to know which coaches would be willing to take the UT job and not waste time on a bunch of coaches who end up saying no and that no "mitigating circumstances" arise that forces UT to rescind an offer.

I've said before that I'm  not sold on Pruitt but does anyone in their right mind think it helps the program to be bashing Pruitt and calling him an idiot and demanding he be fired leading up to and including National Signing Day? And you wonder why we can't hire a proven coach?

No decent coach would take the job because no decent coach was offered.  John Currie had Mike Leach ready to sign when he was fired in flight back to Knoxville. Fulmer stabbed Cuurie in the back working behind the scenes to get the AD job which he has screwed the pooch on from the git go.

Only those who are in denial defend Phat Phils inadequacy, ineptness and inability. He got left behind in modern day football when he was coaching and he certainly wasn't or never will be a qualified Athletic Director.

We had a chance to hire an experienced AD David Blackburn who is a UT alum but Phat Phils buddies installed him in the job and shit show continues.

People who continue to accept what is going on don't support the University of Tennessee or it's football program they support Fulmer, Pruitt and who ever is running the damn place.

This is hilarious...yesterday you were a Haslam fan and today you're accusing  Fulmer of stabbing Currie in the back. So you think Currie should have hired Schiano now?
Fulmer was in North Carolina at Curries request  to interview a coach when Currie was fired. Currie needed no help getting himself fired...he was a national embarrassment.
However...let's not go 24 hours without demanding someone new be fired. Let's go another 12 years of insanity... Hire then fire a coach every three years.
